This might sounds strange, but I sure hope the Switch has lower power as a handheld. Nintendo has a reputation for making polished games. Nintendo is the kind of company that would straight up refuse to release a game if it wasn't running up to par. If Breath of the Wild runs on the handheld thing (the framerate looks choppy, but they could fix that before release) then the handheld must be at least decently powerful.
If they have to underclock the Switch on the go, that might be the one thing that forces Nintendo to make a powerful enough console that it can run games beautifully when overclocked, because it has to be able to run games acceptably when underclocked. Nintendo does not have a history of making powerful home consoles, but this might actually force them to.
