That error is probably because you don't have the aeskeys bin on your sd card.

Restoring the nand with hourglass9 should fix your issues unless your emunand itself is already corrupt.

You will still need the aeskeys bin on the root of your sd card for decrypt9 to work properly.

Thanks for all the help, but everything is fine now.

I removed my pokemon Y cartridge and put it again then the 3ds reconized the cartridge again and the game have a obligatory system updated to nand 6.1, then after that I could use system update to the latest firmware.

After that I could easily do the last two steps in the Plailect guide :).

More easy to resolve than anything in the end, lol.:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Just for curiosity, every icons from my Emunand where deleted after the updates, but who cares.:grog::grog::grog:

In the end, my pokemons saved my day !:toot::toot::toot:

So I'm trying to back up my emuNAND on this part of Plailect's guide (step 4), but Hourglass9 fails the backup because of insufficient space. I have more available space than what Hourglass9 says I need, but I'm still coming up short. I deleted the ~5GB in the Nintendo 3DS folder and tried again, same error. Any ideas on what I could do? The troubleshooting section of the guide doesn't really address this, either.

Edit: I backed up everything throughout this whole process, so my ass is covered.

Edit 2: Found this thread, so I'll try that!

Edit 3: I was just made aware that the method in that thread wouldn't be the best thing to do in my situation since the emuNAND is on a hidden partition, so I'm back to square 1. Any ideas?

Use Decrypt9
Make a Files9 Folder on root of SD

Edit:
Or use Emunand Tool

How do I install on Homebrewed old 3ds firmware 11.0 pleae, do I need to hard mod?
Homebrew only requires an entrypoint. 11.0 can get to the HBL with browserhax, freakyhax, ninjhax, etc as primary entrypoints. Or, you can grab Ocarina of Time and install the hacked save with a hacked 3DS or PowerSaves.

No, the blue card should work fine with a clean TWL, Luma takes care of that.

Ok then I guess it didn't show up because my SD card was boned and I'm waiting on a replacement for my 3DS in which the old one will be used in the blue. Everything else works perfectly fine thus far, even chain booting into my GW when I actually need it, which has become never.

Actually, that is not why. It doesn't show up because often, DS carts don't fit well in the 3DS. Slide a paper in at the same time (to increase the thickness of the cart) or push it more. The SD missing wouldn't be a reason for it not to show up.

Ahh, that explains why my gateway sometimes didn't work in my N3DS. I'll try it again later, as I still need an SD card anyway.

I guess I'm confused. So I can't use the emuNAND Tool to backup my emuNAND? I'm trying to create the emuNAND backup for this part of Plailect's guide. I've done everything in the guide up to the point where I was directed to that part, including create the files9 folder on the root of my SD (I also backed up everything the guide recommended, and did so to multiple locations both locally and on the internet). So yeah, the aeskeys file is in my files9 folder. I don't understand why it's saying I've run out of space when I have more than enough. It estimates the emuNAND backup to be 943MB and at one point, I'd freed up to 6GB and still run into the same thing.

For anyone else reading that might be able to help, Hourglass9 is saying I don't have enough free space on my SD card for the backup, but I definitely do.

Save your complete Sd Content from SD on your PC.
Than Format the SD Card (Fat32) Put Only the Nintendo 3ds Folder files9 folder Luma folder and the other a9lh stuff back to your SD and thy again.
