Yes, unless you get a CART with an entrypoint (Ocarina, Freakyforms, Cubic)
Maybe you can use SteelHax but you have to have a NNID and spoof to 11.1 with ctr-httpwn. Not sure about this.

I read the source you posted and, honestly, don't see the point of you holding back.
For that OTPless to work, you have to be on 9.2 (that you are already).
So, what is the difference of doing the guide already??? Only one extra step of doing the 2.1 ctr-transfer.
For all the others on FWs =/= 9.2, the step of downgrading/upgrading won't bring any safety to the procedure.
Well, upgrading is safe. The problems exist when downgrading only.
But, this is my opinion (and runt, sorry) so, it is always up to you to do what you feel more confident.

The only reason why I haven't updated to a9lh is because I've been on menuhax since forever and it was working fine until 11.1 came out that actually stopped me from playing a game online. I felt like there was no need to "fix" something that wasn't broken. The news about not needing to downgrade just nudged me further to wait for it but if it does take too long for it to stable, I'm confident I could use the current guide just fine.

I see Luma has Region emulation and language emulation, but is there anything that permits me to use the Japanese keyboard? Trying to play a game that has passwords, but only in Japanese.
So I accidentally formatted my SD card (I backed up the info a day ago) and after putting back the files I can't seem to boot into emunand and/or see the games I had installed there. Is there any way for me to repair my emunand without losing my game data?

That's one of the reasons I use corbenik. I have a clean "ofw" emunand I boot without any patches in order to test exploits and new firmwares. I would love to have something similar in Luma. The only patch I would leave on is obviously firm protection.

1.I want to use Emunand instead of Sysnand, when I try to log emunand with Luma (I marked in configuration:"Show current NAND in System Settings" and "Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM"), it shows always black screen, Luma sysnand work ok, and gateway mode's emunand works too. I also own the Gateway I started to use the Luma due to defects that Gateway has. It is I lost one of my 3DS because of the Gateway Timemachine crap. A final suggestion and you try to install A9LH Luma and retire once the Gateway.
I believe that you should be using the Gateway because of Gateshark. See the case already invented a program that converts Gateshark codes for NTR.
Do not waste your time using more the Gateway because it does not pay. I regret having bought it.

I followed Plailec's Guide to install the A9HL, by the same reason, their timemachine sux... more than 6h trying and I always get fatal error.
The issue is that I want use emunand instead of sysnand, but I can't log into emunand using Luma, I think maybe I didn't configured it properly.
And I need to make sure that I can Update Gateway/Luma emunand without risk to lose A9HL. Thanks.

wow just wow. you can update your emunand to 11.1 without issue. 11.1 breaking menuhax has nothing to do with emunand users. you are updating your emunand NOT the sysnand. the sysnand stays on 9.2 with its menuhax install. you will not need another way to get into emunand as what you're using now will not change.

I have a problem using latest version of Luma3DS on n3DS+A9LH swapping cartridges. It happens often since the update of Luma and FW 11.1.
I put any cartridge and when I take if off, the icon of the game remains on 3DS. I try to put another cartridge and the icon of the previous card still there, and I can't play the game unless I power off my 3DS. Anyone has this problem too? Sometimes I need to play a while till this problem appears.
EDIT: After power on with a cartridge inside and take off this cartridge, I need to wait about 15 seconds for the icon disappear. Very annoying.
