Or something to boot at all, even the luma payload renamed to boot.3dsx.

I tried using the hexeditor and on my OLD-11-0-0-22-USA.bin payload, I've only found the boot.3dsx string once, not twice like many people are claiming.
I feel like I'm so close to making it work too!

Isn't the current system version OLD-11-0-0-32?

That's wrong. The current system version is 11.0.0-33. And @shafty710 boot.3dsx is supposed to be found once in the payloads, not twice.

I found it twice in my payloads, Iunno. Might depend on the payload.

I just recently:
switched from rei to luma
upgrade al9h
moved my emunand to sysnand
updated hombrew launcher from 1.1 to 1.2

Now the homebrew launcher doenst start anymore :S.
I just get a freeze with a red touchscreen any idea?

Do you have a boot.3dsx on the root of your SD card?

It's included in the Homebrew Starter kit on Plailect's guide. Download that and move the boot.3dsx to your SD card root.

I cleaned up my SD (7 months old starter pack and other stuff. And i only copied the content from inside the 3ds folder over. Forgot the boot.

Now everything is finde

lol, i followed the mini guide in this thread on how to make the other app.bin file work with hblaoder 1.2, by renaming the boothbl.3dsx to BHBL.3dsx and it worked! now hbl.cia loads in luma 3ds emunand along my atuobooting luma 3ds!

also to make emuanad9 and decrpetwip tools load in homebrew loader, i need to remove those entires from CTRbooter?
