Poetic fan-made Zelda anime movie trailer makes us wish it were real

Last week, talented artist Matt Vince released a short trailer for a fictional Zelda anime movie (watch below). The video has already been watched over half a million times, and if you're like us, you'll probably wish it could be turned into an actual movie.

What makes this awesome is that the general artistic direction was deliberately based on that of Studio Ghibli, world famous anime film studio formerly led by Hayao Miyazaki (Porco Rosso, Castle in the sky, Princess Mononoke...). Nintendo, you know what to do!

Correct. Many movies are now following similar story structure, which closely resembles the story structure of a video game. I think they could do some very creative things with the tropes of the series! Lotta cool opportunities for uniqueness when Link can't speak.
Very true about the format. A very good example would be The Snowpiercer. The progression of the movie is actually exactly like a video game. Every wagon of the train is like a level you have to pass, with the last boss at the end of the train. And let's not forget that they could make an original story without just adapting one of the existing Zelda game.

Wait! Studio Ghibli is back? But they quited after there last movie (When Marnie Was There 2014).

This is a FANMADE trailer for something they thought would be something that would work well, not something that is in development at all.

No association with Studio Ghibli, simply inspiration to this work.

Zelda movie would be fine and Miyazaki is my favourate. But it shouldn't be Zelda, if Miyazaki were to return. Not Miyazaki, if Zelda were to be made movie. Zelda's story doesn't go along with Miyazaki's style.
