Tested
Grand Theft Auto 1 - 60 fps drove around for like 5 min.
Mortal Kombat Trilogy (v1.0) - constant 60fps. Raiden destroyed me lol, he performed a brutality with no slow down.
PaRappa the Rapper - 60fps. I havent played it in a long time, it felt like my timing was off but still said i did good. Didnt do so good on second stage. Might just be me tho.
Bust a Groove - runs pretty well aside from some sound stuttering here and there.

Closing a game to select another one crashes the app.

side note - i take it disc changing doesnt work yet? understandable.

steps i took in case you need them:
load BrainDead 13 and get to the point where it asks to insert disc 2.
i see the disc control option and select disc cycle tray status.
it says ejecting virtual disc. then i select disc image append.
i load disc number 2.bin, it says setting disc 2 of 2 in tray.
nothing happens. go back to menu which reverts to normal menu like i havent loaded anything and then select quick menu, resume
nothing happens.

thanks for all the hard work guys. having so much fun right now.

PCSX is running games that even the official Sony emulator in the Vita couldn't run ( Wing Over 2 ). I also tried Nascar Thunder which is running perfectly.

I've not played with the folders like that.

I would uninstall all retro arch cores using the icons on the ps vita and then install the new version.

try that it worked ok for me.
Thanks for your help (you are the only one that now reply to me lol) but nothing to do :(
I've just tried many times to uninstall all and re-install either old and new nightly, but nothing of nothing. The other cores work correctly, but FBA - no, not only FBA, but Acade emulator in general stop working to me. I mean: it start, but cannot see the rom, so this is problem of core... I didnt knew that a core can stop working definitevely on a console. I tried everything (execpt format the memory card), but no way to works again. And say that I was venturing so well with Akuma combos in 3rd strike

@LibretroArc : you know something about?

Can someone help with PS1 roms? I have my roms in .bin format, do I have to convert to .cue somehow for them to run? I assume they also have to be unzipped? Thank you!

I have used both .img and .bin/.cue files with no issues. No need to convert them to eboots like we had to for Tn-v or Ark. Yeah make sure they are unzipped.

Thanks for the reply. Did you need to install a BIOS? I have one but I put it it with my ROMs and I'm not sure if that's right. Can't get anything working.

bios goes in data > retroarch > cores > system
bios should be named SCPH1001.bin

The BIOS I used were SCPH5500.BIN and SCPH5502.BIN, placed in the data > retroarch > system folder. It gives me a "Unable to find BIOS, may not work as expected" error when I load a game but it still works just fine.

Thanks everyone! I've just deleted everything and started again (including install Henkaku...) but I think it was probably just BIOS stupidity on my part! I'll confirm shortly but seriously, thanks.

Shouldn't that be data > retroarch > > system (for the latest nightlies)?

Edit: Ninja'd

i just thought about that. its possible. im coming from the 8/29 nightly, forgot about the change and didnt change anything going to the 9/26 nightly..
i loaded gta 1 before adding the bios. the game ran and a message showed saying no bios was found. i added the bios to the same folder as my other ones (still forgetting about the change) and the message did not show up again. all games ran smooth.

Edit - my directory settings still shows bios folder as original location. sega cd games and PCE games still work with bios in original location. maybe they fixed it?

Motortoon : Works rally well
Ridge Racer: Works pretty good
Gunners Heaven: Works well too
Ridge Racer type 4: Black screen after Namco logo
Castlevania Chronicles: Works well
Jumping Jack Flash: Works surprisingly well has moments of slow down and glitch
Jumping Jack Fash: same as above

Core crashes on exit on all games.

Looking good :)

Managed to get one game running (xcom) but the rest seem to be .ecm <EDIT: EDC> files which I think must be my issue.

You need to get unecm. It's a program that you can get in the same place you got the game images ( I cannot post a link due to forum rules) . You then simply drag the .ecm file onto the unecm.exe and it spits out an .iso or .cue/.bin file that you can use. Ecm being almost like zip file with the game image inside.

EDIT: What mindglitch said

So, if I see that right, I just need to install the pcsx_rearmed_libretro.vpk, place the bios data inside the data > retroarch > cores > system folder and I'm good to go?

Gonna text Digimon World 3 & Jade Cocoon then. c:
