OK the path is :

SD:/3ds/arm9loaderhax/payloads/Luma3DS.bin
wat...
  • The path changer is now deprecated (although it will still work). To have a custom path you can now enable the option for it in the configuration and type it in a /luma/path.txt file, it must start with a /. This path is also picked up by the above mentioned .dat chainloader.

I was using some old nightly build of Luma3DS which worked pretty fine for me. But since there was Nintendo's 11.1 update, I figured I should update Luma to the newest version (6.3).

I should mention that I'm a Gateway/Menuhax peasant. ;) My bootloader auto-loads Gateway and if I hold X it boots into Luma mode which I'm using for DSi, GBA and cartridge games. And no, I never downgraded, I simply never updated my SysNAND after 9.2.

Well, I swapped the 3dsx files (in HBL's 3ds folder and on the root of my SD) and Luma3DS.dat, then I deleted my config file. Now whenever I try to boot Luma my 3DS immediately shuts down. I tried HBL as well as bootloader but both has the same result.

This happens on both my N3DS and O3DS, so I don't think it's hardware related.

For Gateway I just swapped launcher.dat and it's working fine with Nintendo's latest firmware.

Can someone help me? Did I miss anything when updating Luma3DS? Since I'm not using A9LH I didn't copy any payloads or arm9loaderhax.bin.
I have the same problem how did you fix yours?

Ok so, im a complete noob (i got a guy to do the hardmod for me + install arm9 and luma) and i have no idea how to update luma.
I currently have luma3ds v6.1.2 and would like to upgrade to v6.3, can somebody link me to an update guide or guide me through the process?

Two options:

Option 1
1) Download the latest Luma3DS release.
2) Move the arm9loaderhax.bin from that release to your SD card's root.

Option 2
1) Download Luma3DS Updater and install its CIA with FBI.
2) Run Luma3DS Updater after installing and select "Install normal version."

Replaced the arm9loaderhax.bin file and it worked, thank you very much :)

i have new 3ds xl (sysnand 11.1) and running a9lh+luma3ds+shadownand. i have tried to update luma via luma updater and replace the arm9loaderhax.bin manually but it still in 6.1.1 version (the version that i first install luma3ds). how can i fix it? thanks
ps: i also have a trouble when playing ds cartridge, when i open it, my 3ds get restarted and back to home menu. if you're asking, i have tried all of the solution in wiki (undo the twl_firm patch and use pathchanger)

Anyone?:( i am very noob to this

you need to have arm9loaderhax.bin for Luma3DS now, regardless of entrypoint.

Heh, alright, everything's working fine now! Thank you!

yes. my bottom splash works perfectly. only my top splash stoped working. tested with pre and after payload
Then it should be a file corruption.
This always happened on
1) R/W files with a low quality SD reader
2) R/W files with a SD reader connected to a damaged USB port
3) R/W files on a low quality SD card

I highly recommend noobs NOT USING luma updater.
Manually update it instead.

why don't you try to update luma manually?
