Hi! I have a problem with my GB Boy Colour
I power up the console... red LED lights up, but I have a blank screen and no sound.

I've been using it with 1.2V AA rechargeable batteries with some issues: the console resets when the batteries are low on charge. Especially if I use my Everdrive GB (which requires more power).

This morning the display started flickering, and after a couple of seconds of gameplay the console started resetting itself. Then I tried again but the display didn't turn on.
I switched to couple of 1.5V AA standard batteries (thinking that maybe the rechargeable batteries were the problem) but the console remain dead.

Maybe I have a blown cap, but I don't see any damage or leak. Maybe someone with more knowledge could take a look.

I have the exact same problem. I change the batteries and everything. I made a complaint against the seller, and they refund me the money, but I want to fix the console. Did you manage to find the problem? Regards!

Try 1.6v AAs. Sounds like a voltage thing. I think the screen takes a lot more for 2 AAs to run compared to a regular GBC. That's why it easily has a enough power to turn on, but barely enough to power the screen and the cartridge simultaneously, hence the reset. I'm sure that useless LED doesn't help.
