Some of you might've seen my older tutorial. I have made it a lot easier to follow and a lot more clear since.

This will let you use just a PowerSaves for Amiibo and the Powertag included to download and use Amiibo .bin files, eliminating the need for a NaMiiO and Amiiqo.
Let's start.

qvoU9Vm.png

UPDATE:
fetch-amiibos.exe contains a link to download Amiibo bin's. I had a brainfart and forgot that we couldn't share copyrighted files here. I have updated the attached ZIP file. fetch-amiibos.exe is now contained in a password protected ZIP file inside the attached ZIP file. The password is the name of that iso site.

Prerequisites:
  • A PowerSaves For Amiibo with the Powertag included US | UK
  • A Computer Running at least Windows 7. The following tools do not work with XP or Vista. Sorry!
  • The Amiibo Rename Tool I have attached.
  • A brain.
  • Action Replay PowerSaves for Amiibo software
Attention! The old guide is now obsolete! Use the attached Amiibo Rename Tool (amiibo_rename.zip) to install and rename the Amiibos in the PowerSaves directory!

Let's Get Started:

1. Download the Amiibo_Tool.1.0.zip archive I have attached.

2. Now extract all three .exe files and ZIP file from this archive. Make a new folder on the C:
drive called Amiibo_Tool.1.0 (so it should be C:\Amiibo_Tool.1.0) or run an admin command prompt and type
Code:
md "C:\Amiibo_Tool.1.0\"
.

3. Now, extract fetch-amiibos.zip. The password is the name of that iso site. This should open up your default browser and download the file named amiibo-files.zip. Place that file somewhere where you will remember. Preferably directly on your C: drive (but do NOT put it in the C:\Amiibo_Tool.1.0 folder!).

4. Run install-amiibos.exe. Enter the path of your amiibo-files.zip file and press enter. If you saved it directly to your C: drive, type C:\amiibo-files.zip .

5. Two new items should be created in the Amiibo_Tools.1.0 folder. You should now, additionally have, amiibo-files.zip and amiibo-files.temp.

6. Now run install-amiibos-part-2.exe. This will install all of the Amiibo files for use in the PowerSaves Software. The application will now open the PowerSaves folder. If you do not see any .bin files in there then follow the on screen instructions.

7. That's it! Fire up the PowerSaves for Amiibo software and place your Powertag on the base. Click the Powertag option and select the Amiibo file you want to use! Cheers!

If you do this, please leave feedback! I'd really appreciate it!
Thank You!

Yup. If you don't buy directly from the links I provided then make sure that it includes the Powertag! Older versions of the PowerSave did not have it. It's better to buy it in a store if a you can so you can make sure it includes the Powertag. Also, fetch-amiibos.exe with download the bin's for you! Cheers!

Amazing!
Have you tried saving the amiibo bins to a generic NTAG215 card?
Supposedly, amiibos are NTAG215 NFC cards.
If so, the powersave could be a great NFC reader/writer

Already tried it, half of the time it just doesn't work and the other half just destroys the NTAG215 tag.

I bought the early version, without the Powertag. Is there any way I can get a Powertag separately?

I should have known better than to buy it so early. :/

I don't think so, unless someone on the temp is willing to sell one to you. You could always sell your current one and get one with the power tag.

I want to say that theres an error with this.

Inside the amiibo-files, its has another fetch-amiibos zip within it, which I have to go to to get the amiibos.

Basically-

I did fetch amiibos.
Got the amiibo-files
amiibo-files has another fetch-amiibos within it.
that second fetch-amiibos has the real ones.

And my smartscreen was trying to stop the programs from running.
Could ya tell me what commands the bin ran?.. (Trust issues, not you, sorry.)

I mean I got the amiibos, but yeah. Neither of the install-amiibos were useful. And the second did completely nothing.

Or I was misunderstanding. Can you clear this up for me?

Will Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards work on this?

Yes, however you'll have to download the files for them yourself since the file that fetch-amiibos.exe grabs doesn't contain them, only the regular Amiibos.

Also, their are some compatibility issues. Just manually copy all of the .bin files to C:/Users/your username/PowerSaves for AMIIBO/

I can't get any form of password to work on your zip.
I tried the URL, URL without trailing slash. No WWW, with WWW.
The title of the site as per Google, with and without "Nintendo ".

-_-

The password is just the name of the site. No WWW or .com.

It's a 6 character long password.

Do you think the powersaves could read the NFC of a phone?
In the ebay page you provided for UK they sold out.
