I got the understanding barebones of Reinand, luma, and various cia installers, but I feel like I did it rather disorganized.
Would the entire data be on the 3ds itself, or is it all on the SD card that can be safely "reformatted" so I can redo the entire process again?

The emunand itself it a partition on your sd card, so you can format and do the entire process of emunand, if that is what you mean.

I'm having some issues with the end of section IV on part three. I think I've done everything as indicated, but i kep gettint that "old unsustained NAND" error, even though by this step I'm supposed to be able to boot normally. The only thing I can think of is that at on part 2 i was unable to backup sysNAND and create NANDmin.bin, but I already fixed that following the steps on part 3 section IV. I'm not sure about my initial NAND, so I've tried both with and without the firmware.bin file, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Edit: Also, the 3ds won't boot up at all without the SD, no error, not even a black screen

Hey Guys

Is there a way for CTRbootmanager to automatically open Luma3ds, like, set the timer 0 and override the timer so I can open Homebrew Launcher and rxTools? CTRbootmanager is very useful but I don't want to go through the manager every time I want to load Emunand.
Thanks

Question: Is there a way to migrate all my CIA Secure Values from my (updated) emuNAND to my (9.2) sysNAND?
It's the only thing stopping me from finally taking the A9LH plunge.
What do you mean? secure values only deal with save files (which are encrypted based on your nand). At the end of the a9lh tutorial, you move emunand to sysnand anyways, so unless you have used your sysnand for things other than menuhax in the past, there shouldn't be any issues.

I use my sysNAND and emuNAND for different things. To be specific, I really need to keep my StreetPass data from sysNAND. A full overwrite isn't gonna cut it for me.

So I installed AL9H. Yay. Now how do I use my gateway cart? I tried putting GW's arm9loaderhax.bin instead of luma's and I've also tried booting GW's arm9loaderhax.bin from luma. It always goes to a black screen.

Halp.

Did you follow Plailect's guide or the actual gateway 3ds guide?

I just got A9LH on my N3DS, I was wondering how to get NES/SNES, GB/GBC, GBA roms working on it and if it's possible to get them on the home screen. Also after I install a CIA can I delete the .cia file from my Cia's folder or should I keep them in there?

Any that are available on the eShop (or ever have been in the past) you can probably get with freeShop.
Otherwise search "that ISO site" for VC injections of the game you want. They will be a .cia you can install with FBI.
No need to keep the .cia file on your SD card, it doesn't do anything.

Kind of a weird question, but what exactly makes 9.0-9.2 different from other FW versions that allows you to run CFW? AFAIK we've got ARM11 and ARM9 exploits on higher versions too (maybe that's not even a factor, I'm really clueless)

We don't have ARM9 access on higher versions (just ARM11 up to 10.7, allowing downgrades and legit CIA installation), and 9.0 allows browserhax/menuhax. So together that makes 9.0-9.2 the golden firmware.

Interesting. Should both exploits technically be available on earlier versions too then?
