My question is will piracy wipe out the vita completely? i mean we have got games like

Akibas trip Beat
Caligula
Tokyo Xandu 2017 Release
999 HD Remaster
Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters
Danganrompa 3

Coming over to the west.

Could piracy cease development of any of these games for the vita?

Also theres talk of there being a new handheld which is supposed to be part of Playstation Trinity. Not that i believe it since Sony doesnt really care for Vita support these days. So why would they make another handheld!

Same goes with Nintendo 3DS/2DS ! when do you guys believe both handhelds will die out? i mean 3ds already has piracy and Nintendo havent abandoned it so? Will Sony abandon it?

And when will the vita and 3Ds die in terms of game support

Definitely not.
The mere fact that Vita piracy requires software already poses a significant barrier to the tech illiterate masses who may stumble upon piracy methods. It's nowhere near as easy as loading up an applet and literally accessing the official servers to steal games from cough freeshop cough.

Part of me is kinda glad as this allows for game preservation and stuff so things don't get lost into the void in the future but the other part of me wants to just throw up because of this news. I'm very split

It has happened already. Unlike Nintendo, $ony hasn't been releasing 1st party stuff for some time now (AFAIK).

Oh shit, Vita piracy, I would get hyped, but then I remember how much a Vita card costs. I might get a Vita TV, if they can get the usb slot in the thing to be able to read flash drives.

I'm not interested in the Vita and its library to fork over the money for a Vita + Vita card sadly :/
