yes, but you should already be on the latest version making them irrelevent, not all carts have them, mainly ones with internet useage, all release titles and some following dont, (oot3d, mario 3d land). also the updates cant be installed unless you give the system permission to do so, so i dont see how that would be something to watch out for anyway
Oot3ds comes with 1.1.0 and Mario 3d land with 3.0.0; LewieP was asking what he should look out for in the future. And as it isn't known what future firnware updates will do; watching for cart updates and systwm updates via settings are things to look out for.

But yes, as of now there's nothing to look out for - excepting accidentially running an arm9 payload and messing things up with those.

NTR CFW 3.4 Preview 2 (New3DS Only)
released this on Mar 28
This is a New3DS-Only preview release. Do not try it with Old3DS.

So did you just ignore the warrning for curiosity or you honestly didn't care cause you wanted back light control.

I personally dunno why is there, if it works fine, but i guess is your system to do what you want. Nice job brave soldier ^_^

Also again is not Each screen, just at same time.

Looking at Luma3DS code, it seems possible. Just need to set it properly somewhere, what do you think? Luma3DS Options menu? Or is there another UI for that?

EDIT: Is it possible to play around with Luma3DS without flashing to SysNAND? (Don't want to brick my 3DS this soon!)

i dunno, i suppose the menu but maybe ask the creator, or try corbenik, it could be useful to that cfw as well.

can you tell me where that is?

Delete boot.3dsx on your SD card, and replace it with this
You should boot into the homebrew launcher. Open menuhax_manager
From there, select Configure/check haxx trigger. Select type 1, hold down on the Dpad, then tap the touchscreen. Menuhax will now work on boot, only when DPad down is held
Now, do steps 1-3 here, then finish the guide starting from step 12 (In other words start from Part 3, and skip steps 4-11 there. Do everything else)
When I replaced the boot.3dsx file, it booted into my emunand like normal. I can open Homebrew Launcher myself as I installed the CIA of it onto my emuNAND. Should I access menuhax_manager from there?

So I bought a O3ds which is currently on ver. 7.2.0-10U and I want to update it to 9.0-9.5 but not above. I read that this can be done by finding a cartridge that has that update on it and do it that way. So I tracked down a game with firmware 9.2 (cooking mama: bon appetit) but when I popped in the game it just loaded right up, didn't ask to update at all. Then I tried with my wifi turned on and connected, still no update prompt. Am I missing something here?

ur firm may be high enough to run the game so it doesnt check for an update, triforce heroes can go to 9.6 iirc then downgrade to 9.2 then install a9lh and update to 11.0 and install spider 28 browser

Ok, I have a question about a VERY specific case that needs answering.

I have recently acquired a used 3DS that has been system transfered (aka it currently has a clean, stock NAND). It is at 11.0
I also have a 2DS at firmware 9.2.0 with an EmuNAND on some outdated version of RXTools pre sig patching.
I would like to follow Plailect's guide for a DSiWare downgrade.
However, the guide mentions a) backing up some sort of A9LH thingy on 3DS #1 (the 2DS which is not A9LH'd), and b) backing up stuff from the SD card of 3DS #2 (which has already been formatted, and shouldn't have anything important... right?...)

Can anyone help me figure out how I would need to modify the guide to fit my particular use case? For those that don't know, this is the one I'm referring to.

it mentions a sysnand backup, it just makes you rename it to sysnand-a9lhax.bin, use decrypt9 to backup ur sysnand, you really should install a9lh on ur 2ds. refer to my signature and u will have all of those on ur 2ds.

I would, but I'm still a LITTLE worried about the extra risk of brick on a 2DS and the fact that technically it is no longer mine, but my sister's

Edit: Also, is the point of the SysNAND backup just so that you get everything back the way it was after the format+transfer?

Just boot into sysnand with rxtools and use godmode9 for hbl im sure you need to update your sysnand to system transfer (i think)
