Free hacks are the best but i must add that i personally think that hacks that require common games are just as good since you are very likely to have it or you can buy it easily (like the vwii brawl hack)

Free hacks are indeed one of the best but get patched quickly.
Game hacks are being exploited by scalpers as well.
Hardware hacks, well, they cannot be patched.

Hardware hacks reign supreme.

Sure scalping can be bad (Ninjahax?) On game hacks but many of them are not that bad (atleast to my knowledge) although hardware hacks are the best as long as (in my opinion) they are not overly expensive.

Scalping is just immoral.
It's not illegal (supply and demand) but it's just immoral.
Especially when it comes to console/game launches.
I know people who purchased 10 Wii U's orso at launch day just to sell them for profit on ebay.
I think it was even on Temp...
I agree with the gameshops saying 1 console per person tho.

Anyway, proper hardware is pricey.
Shit clones are cheap, but as the same suggest, are shit clones.
If you want cheap hardware (R4/Squirt360/Alladin XT/whatever clone modchip/flashcard) don't expect everything to work.

TX their hardware is superb, their PR is just shit.
Supercard their hardware is superb (DSone/DSTwo for sure)
R4, they where good when nobody cloned them but now with the billions of clones out there... shit hardware.

Basically, getting proper "pricey" hardware is key when it comes to hardware based attacks.
You wouldn't want to get moldy cheap bread as well if you need to feed yourself right?

One thing to note, i did not mean to suggest scalping is ok or that i like it ( it should be illegal in my mind) but i meant the prices on the games used for exploits generally are not that bad.

To be honest if you want cheap systems, buy theme early, once everyone find out about exploits, they will try to start selling them at higher prices knowing someone wants them and forcing them to pay more than the market sales price which is bad. You remember what happened with freaky hax don't you? Don't buy stuff for sole purpose of exploits, i bought 3ds and ocarina of time cause i liked it and wanted to play it ealier than before any exploits were made. So i got lucky.

Just buy games you want or like best. chances are popular games may be potential for exploits and you will already have the tool needed and not need to worry about overpriced buying.

Soon exploits will start causing increase in prices with people trying to sell it for more than is worth cause of it and how much they know people want it badly enough. While we all like buying great things as low as possible, people like selling things as high as possible and neither side can get to agree on the price. Get what you want cause you really like it. Wait for the right time, wait too long and is too late.

Just like physics have laws, economy has one called "Supply and demands" If anyone dunno what that is, basically is the principal that if you make something that people want you need a lot of it. If you make so little, people who really want it will pay more than what is worth to get it, and having too much with no one paying for it will cause sellers to offer almost nothing as low as "You might as well give it away for free or with something people buy to get rid of it" as opposed to "Highest bidder wins" Try to stay away from those markets as i will admit as much as i like the homebrew and exploits will contribute to this saturated market of those tactitcs.

I like letterbomb for the Wii, not only is it super easy but I like being able to click on the letter with the bomb in it :P
It look like someone took Link's bombs and put it in a love letter and sent it to your wii. That over the top presentation are very charming in exploits. :D

First party titles will pretty much always retain their value (SSBB, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon ORAS, Paper mario etc,) compared to third party titles (Cubic Ninja, Freaky Forms, Lego Batman, MechAssault etc.)
The scalpers are just driving up the prices.
If you're lucky, you can get exploitable games for a fiver or a tenner.
If you're unlucky, then you'll have to satisfy the scalpers and pay them ~10 times adjusted price.

Scalping can't really be illegal (otherwise everything in sales would become illegal)
I think atleast 95% of the forums find it immoral and wrong and I agree with them.

Any of them that gets me from point a to point b.
Such as A9LH gets me from boot to CFW.
Or the CFW for the Xbox original.

Original Xbox didn't have CFW.
It has custom dashboards.
It still runs on the original kernel albeit with signature patches in place.

It's basically the same thing (I know someone's going to get pissed at that) It still basically a different look and feel for my Xbox none the less and adds more functions so I think "CFW" still works.

Hacked dash would be the appropriate term.

With a softmod on the old xbox, you're not modifying the BIOS.
All you do is install some extra files to the harddrive.
Besides those extra files, everything is complete stock, unlike "proper" CFW for PSP/PS3/DS(yes flashme can be considered a CFW)and the 360's DVD drive, which actually replace the firmware on the NAND/NOR chip.

Where i live we have anti-scalping laws for tickets to events so i supposed it could work theoretically but it won't (although i wish it was a thing)

They actually make sense yep.
That way, everyone has an equal chance at attending the concert.

I just wish that also applied to games and consoles and other gadgets that get launched.

maybe games aren't as important as watching people perform songs. that is sad :(
Well perhaps it is because it is because there are few companies that scalp games compared to concerts or that scalping of games takes place online and it would be harder to regulate? But that is a discussion for another thread.

Music industry has been plagued by piracy more then the videogame industry has.
The main source of income for artists is licensed merch sales and tours.
The record labels turn the biggest profit with the sales of music.

I dare anyone, even cops and attorneys and other law figures to publicly say they NEVER pirated an MP3.
99% of the world who has access to internet has pirated music before.
If not 99.9%.

If you really want to nitpick, then you could say that everyone has pirated something (downloading copyrighted images off the web is also piracy)

I don't know, the best way to get money fast for concert tickets is putting them up for sale on craigslist/ebay/other online auction sites/market places.
There's pretty much no difference between the scalping of games and concert tickets, other then the actual product.
