Trying to set up smashmods for a friend using the guide featured in this thread here: http://pastebin.com/W6WCs2Tj

But the link to the "strange file" has been removed from the host server. Where else can I get this?

Edit: Just used loadiine.ovh instead to load the kernel hack and SDcafiine. Still reuploading those files for people to self host is probably still a good idea.

Is there any way to make Smashville and Town and City be at nighttime all the time? It looks so much better that way

Hopefully nobody has asked this yet.. Probably has but..

When I load mods into Smash4, I got past the intro screen and it shows the "Super Smash Brothers for Wii U" with the version on the bottom right corner. After I pressed a button (To enter smash), my Wii U froze. I have used mods for a while now and this is the first time it happened to me. Could this be a result of using too much mods?

This started happening after I added these mods into my game:
- White Lucina Skin
- Rocky Results Screen
- Halberd X Town and City
- SSBM Hitsound effects
- SSBM Fox & Falco

If anyone can help, it would be really appreciated!

Hi everyone, I just finished making my first modpack and everything seemed to work perfectly throughout the process, but when I try to load the mods on the Wii U ... nothing happens. I have tried both the Xammp method and loadiine, but in both cases they seem to work perfectly (my Wii U even says "data finished installing" and Sm4sh takes longer to load) but the game boots normally and when I start playing it it acts as if nothing has changed. The game seems to run perfectly with no glitches or crashing, so I am pretty sure it just can't load the mod. I am using a US Wii U with the latest firmware and have tried other people's modpacks (they didn't load either), so I was wondering what I could be doing wrong since I have friends who modded their copy of Sm4sh the exact same way and it worked first try. My SD Card is formatted correctly and I dumped the game myself, so I know my Wii U can run homebrew. Also, I can take screenshots and view them so I know my Wii U can read my SD Card, plus SDCafiine worked fine. If anyone can help me figure out what to do, please let me know.

I have the same exact problem, can you tell what you mean by reinstall everything? Thanks

Heya. So I was doing some material editing (first time attempting it), particularly Ike's hair, and I edit the hex values, and then I get this error when injecting it. Any chance someone knows what went wrong?

anyone help, after adding some random skins for characters the CSS icons for yoshi and zelda have disappeared for no actual reason. I tried using them in battle and their battle portrait and stock icon showed up. after the battle the CSS icon would sometimes reappear.

I tried removing all mods from my SD card and re-adding them but it only made matters worse. the icons for zero suit samus, sonic and wario also disappeared. also, when I tried playing a match with my brother the game softlocked after it returned to the CSS. I asked on discord what to do and the only solution was to remove and re-add all of my mods.

I did that, but it did not fix it at all. the icons for toon link also disappeared. in addition, the game's loading times have also increased.

I'm totally lost here. I have absolutely no solution to this. my SD card is fat32. I used loadiine for loading my mods. if I don't fix this soon all CSS icons are going to disappear and my mods will become unusable.

You can't edit the files in excel, or you will get that error. Use a text editor like notepad instead. I had the same error the first time I did it, and it's pretty counter-intuitive but it worked for Roy's hair.

I reinstalled Xammp, rebuilt the mod, and formatted my SD card before putting it on again. Doing all of that probably wasn't necessary, but just try reinstalling SDCaffiine in particular.

Ok so I tried dumping my game by using the ddd method , everything works fine until I put my IPV4 address on the homebrew page. when I start Smash the game just load normally. any suggestions? I checked if the IPV4 address is correct... so yeah

Okay. So I edited it and injected it and it didn't show up in-game. I don't know how to view the model. I've tried before and it didn't load. I have 3DS Max 2015 if that works.

Voice Packs don't go in the sound folder, rather they go in data/fighter/character/sound within the patch folder of a given mod. Using Loadiine should load them just fine.
