so what exactly does disabling streamout do? Does it boost performance?
In short, Streamout is a feature that games can use to offload work from CPU to GPU. Currently Streamout emulation in CEMU is not very advanced and it's also very slow. Disabling it can improve performance but might cause visual glitches. There are some games where it can be disabled without affecting anything.

Nice one. Mario & Sonic 2014 Sochi goes intro, stuck at the video (green screen but you can hear the sound), also with the Hyrule warriors. Xenoblade have much less stretched textures but I still don't know how to enter damn name. So far looks good.

What exactly does the cycle and host based timer do?

Uh.. that is actually a debug feature we accidentally left in this release. Generally it's highly recommended to not tamper with it, but if you are willing to experiment it can make some games run better (but it can also stop games from working at all). For example, setting the timer to host based increases loading speed in MK8.

# New in public release

GX2: Fixed a bug that lead to surface copy operations not working or even crashing CEMU
GX2: Fixed a crash bug in the streamout handler

So is not technically the same release that we patreons got last week.
