Hey guys, I have a suggestion for a feature for Nintendont. So you know how when using a classic/wii u pro controller you can hit the minus button in game and it will change the a,b,x and y button layouts. It would be really cool if maybe something similar could be done for the shoulder buttons where, say, if you hold minus you could swap the buttons so that instead of ZL=L,ZR=R and R=Z it could be switched to where L=L,R=R, and ZR=Z. Or perhaps instead of a button it could just be a regular option on the menu since it's more a matter of preference, unlike with the face buttons where you need to change it on the fly for baseball games.
why? the minus button to switch the buttons is becuase people wanted the buttons to be on the same layout as the gc controller, the ZR and ZL are on the same layout as the gamecube controller, it makes no sence to put the buttons on the wrong position, i dont see how putting the Z button on the lower back buttons would improve anything at all.basicaly this would be a feature for porbably one person lol meaning you so you should just change the controller coe yourself and recompile nintendont.

Do you know what folders or files to edit? Because I have absolutely no clue on how to change the button mappings. If I knew how to do that I probably wouldn't be suggesting it on a forum.

Is there any way to save progress in Mario Kart GP 1 & 2?
yes if you have the latest nintendont just turn mcemu on and it will creat a GP 2 save card you put your name and then when you finish a course and ask if you wanna quit says yes and it will save, wait afew seconds then exit nintendont or shutdown the console.

speaking of Mario Kart Arcade... as well as Triforce Arcade emulation in general:

Is there or will there be any way to have and create multiple cards for other players who wish to have their own profile?

Also... i doubt this will happen, but worth asking anyway... will there be some kind of LAN support via Wifi or adapter?

yes, just rename the memory card file

no, there's not enough memory for networkadapter emulation.

I noticed with the Dolphin emulator you can put "OnFrame" codes that do things like disable the cam and disable the voice in Mario Kart GP 2. Is there any way to do this with Nintendont on Wii?

I've been playing Second Sight, and I'm experiencing an issue that I've never seen with Nintendont:

The game works fine, until a certain point: In chapter 2, you play through a training course, and in a very specific loading screen; the game stops working.
You can still hear the ambience sound effects but the game wont load. It happens just in this point.

The dump i'm using is the correct one, has the same CRC-32 and MD5 that Redump says is the good version.

I find this very interesting, because after a look on google, it was supposed to be fixed looong, long ago:

I'm using version 4.419, for the record and tried on different usb devices.

well diferent devices dont matter so just take a picture of your nintendont settings if you can since some settings can break some games i played second sight until like midgame and then gave up but it was awhile ago tough so if you can a picture of your nintendont settings would help alot.

Is it possible to somehow load gamecube homebrew apps, like the gamecube retroarch version through Nintendont??
NO, homebrew codding codewise is all over the place they user stuf to do other stuff so nintendont doesnt have any idea what to do with that codding so unfortunely it will never work on nintendont.

There, my settings. Nothing is turned on besides Force Progressive, which the compatibility list says it's acceptable.

Compile a gamecube iso using
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/ISO_Creation_Wizard
Start.dol = your hombrew dol
You'll need the homebrew apploader.ldr from gclinux, set it create full sized iso then patch
the built iso with gamecube magic word and video mode, you can then shrink the iso with
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/GCM
Nintendont should run homebrew no problem as long it doesn't reintialize the pads and memory ports like swiss-gc and sdload do.

you do know the compat list is outdated as hell correct? most widescreen, force progressive stuff is very outdated try without force progressive im betting it works since you hear the audio means the video is gone so force progressive is most likely the issue, why didnt you even tryed it with it off?

Also your using the pal version of the game or usa?

nope it wont nintendont works by finding patterns on the games and patching them, homebrew doesnt have patterns the code is all over the place so yeah it was reported long ago that it didnt work and it will never work only diosmios can run homebrew i think devolution cant run it either.
