It will only work on CFW. This is because even though it downloads from the CDN, which is what the eshop accesses, it is not signed correctly.Since you download from the eshop, will the cia downloaded from cia angel work on sysnand?
And is it better to use .cia or tickets ?
Tickets are not removed on failed install, as they are technically separate from the content of the CIA.Even the tickets ?
thank ^^
Personally I just run a9lh w/ updates sysNAND, and install everything on sysNAND.Since you download from the eshop, will the cia downloaded from cia angel work on sysnand?

But i was speaking of FBI .cia install vs tickets/Ciangel ^^Tickets are not removed on failed install, as they are technically separate from the content of the CIA.

As for install mode vs tickets only, I prefer using install mode in CIAngel, as I don't want to use Nintendo's own app to download stuff from them, as I don't know what (if any) info it sends to their servers.
There's no real difference besides transfer/download time. Personally, for my system, downloading a CIA on my computer, transfering it to the SD card, then installing it with FBI is slower than using CIAngel to install something. But i was speaking of FBI .cia install vs tickets/Ciangel ^^
thanks =p
hmmm what? I see you're relatively new, so I'll give you some advice. If your post doesn't contribute to the topic (Question about the project, feedback, discussion) then you probably shouldn't make it.hmmm
I actually just downloaded a dsiware title on my o3ds without issue. Do you have any sort of dns blocker for updates enabled? Perhaps you could provide some information like what game you were trying to install?Whenever i try to download dsiware games on my new3DS i get this message: "Could not download TMD.".
I already deleted the folder and re-downloaded the wings.json.
What can i do about this?
Oh geez... Yep. That was it. I totally forgot i was still blocking those!I actually just downloaded a dsiware title on my o3ds without issue. Do you have any sort of dns blocker for updates enabled? Perhaps you could provide some information like what game you were trying to install?
No, no CDN downloading app currently works with sleep mode, as nobody has figured out how to stop the network connection from shutting down during sleep.Does it work while on sleep mode?
thank you, it's a really nice app!
Though fbi can install cia in sleep mode (not cdn, and not really sleep, it just turn of the screen ^^) but previous version of fbi failed the install whenever closed the console ^^No, no CDN downloading app currently works with sleep mode, as nobody has figured out how to stop the network connection from shutting down during sleep.
Yeah also that would be nice to see the size before download or have a confirm screen before install that shows futher information like size, price, title/ticket ID and maybe ratings ^^the price would be quite funny actually
although annoying since different regions have different currencies, we can find them easily, but some games that are 'region free' are actually not, for example i think the pokemon gb games, i noticed the spanish version is 'region free' when actually it is only in europe (i think) - so we can't just default to USD$ for 'region free' games.
by region free i mean when the product code ends in A.
You know, I swear the size was listed on the touch screen prior to downloading. But now that you mention it I don't recall ever seeing it there, I'll have to choose a random title in a search now and check that... Might only show when actually downloading.Yeah also that would be nice to see the size before download or have a confirm screen before install that shows futher information like size, price, title/ticket ID and maybe ratings ^^
or show it on the touch screen ^^
I've seen slow speeds before, but they normally resolve themselves after a reboot. Make sure you're in install mode, as download mode (Writing the .CIA file itself to the SD card) is known to be slow for unknown reasons.I get like ~100kb/s speed, is this normal? If not, what is possible causes of this?
All of a sudden, yes, this helps! I was downloading it before, now tried install mode - and it jumped to ~900kb/s. This doesn't seem like a proper behavior.I've seen slow speeds before, but they normally resolve themselves after a reboot.
