That's odd. Because according to other people, a +6 Fast Charge charm is possible. But they didn't say what tier is was.
That's for MHG.

Apparently there's some MHX speedruns where the person had a +6 FC charm.

The maximum value of Fast Charge is +5 and it has to be in the first skill slot.
I just tested 3 different talisman, each with FC in the first slot as +6, with varying grade levels from Queen to Dragon and non of them were valid in-game.

BTW, MHG is very confusing because it is the same name as the second MH game ever that was on the PS2.

Alright, just tried. Didn't work. Talisman still came out blank 0/0 stats. Albeit I can view the stats in the Sort/view talisman menu...

This is weird.
I just tried creating the following talisman in both MHX and MHGen and they all worked:
Dragon Slot3 Fast Charge +5
Dragon Slot3 Fast Charge +5 Handicraft +5
Dragon Slot3 Protection + 1 Handicraft +5

Would you mind PMing me your save?

No the editor will just pick the next empty equipment slot to save your new talismans.
Although, there is one situation I have never been able to test, and that is when you have maxed out your equipment slots but not the absolute maximum.
You see, the maximum number of equipment you can have is 1400, but you don't get all that right away and you have to unlock it in game. It is currently unknown what would happen if you save beyond your current equipment number cap.

Yeah, gonna have to send you the save. It's crashing me whenever I try to view my talismans now lol

So we can now properly make charms of any tier? That sounds promising.

I've been looking to get some specific values for some skills, but I know they don't appear on the Dragon tier of charm.
Always found that weird, how the higher the tier of charm, the less overall options it got. Some skills you can't get at all at high tier.
it's more that rarer/more useful skills becoem available on high level charms. There are specific skill combos that can only appear on them, too. If 4U was any indication, it was usually the relic/multi-skill oens that got the most attention on the highest leve charms (and since each only had 1 level of skill at 10 points, there wasn't a need to go up to 14/whatever) they didnt want charms to be too OP (not that it worked) so they made the max usually 4-6 on top level charms (at least in 4U).

NVM! Got it working JC!! I basically had forgotten to move over a file to my SD.. I feel so dumb, lol.

It's likely a problem with Gathering...I'll investigate what the actual limit is.

Quick noob question: Are we only able to craft one talisman per or is there a way to do multiples?


Asking before I try so I avoid corrupting save data ahah.

Not sure what you mean. Each talisman is separate and you can create as many as you like.

Dragon Talisman OOO Gathering +10 Carving+3 shows up as dummied ingame.

It's likely a problem with Gathering...I'll investigate what the actual limit is.
the first charm given to you is a 0 slot with gathering +10 and no second skill. It likely parallels the Autoguard charm from MH4U in that no random charm can reach the same value.

This occurs when you try to load a MHGen save when the editor is in MH4G/MH4U mode or vice versa.

Any chance of having the Skills that can't be obtained by a certain Talisman type be red in the skill selection?

Interesting idea...
So like filter out impossible skills based on what the currently in-focus talisman grade is?
I can certainly do it, it's just that I have to think carefully of the design so as to not confuse people with this.

Also mentioned:
Mystery Charms can only have 0-1 slot(s)
Shining Charms can have 0-2 slots
Timeworn Charms can have 0-3 slots.

I will definitely compare that source with what I just compiled yesterday.
As for the slots that is already implemented; for example if you try to assign more than 1 slot for mystery category talismans a warning message will appear.

Instead of color, Just have the text turn white so they can't be seen. If it's whited out you'll know it can't be used legally in the game.
So if I get Attack+5 on first slot, It will White out attack for the second slot. Having it based on each slot selected would also be a good way to approach.
