In theory it should work, but I don't block any urls with my router so I can't test it. There's not really any reason to do both unless you want to be extra safe.

Yeah, I don't trust Tubehax wholly because there have been times where it hasn't actually worked, and while I do want to use the eShop from time to time, it's a pain to have to reboot in order for the downloads to work.
I only use Tubehax as the secondary DNS, with the other DNS that people recommend as the primary. I can't remember what the DNS is called, but if you look hard enough in my posts you can probably find it.

But here you guys go, here's the primary DNS I use: 104.236.072.203. I still can't remember whose it is, but its pretty popular. This one works like Tubehax, but you can access YouTube.

hello ,i'm on 5.1.2u firmware , i couldn't get loadiine to load because it gives me an unspported firmware version error ,any solution ? should i updat my wiiu via the internet to the latest version ? because getting a game disc with a higher firm is not an option for me , my Wiiu is out of my region ..any help would be appreciated..
check the files in the app folder on the sd card are all present and in correct folders. make sure none are in a double folder....best of luck....

Tubehax can't prevent you from getting banned, all it does is block updates. There's no risk of getting banned by using Loadiine anyways, but if you want to be on the safe side for your mental sake, make another WiiU account and don't link an NNID. Then you won't be able to connect online, so no risk of ban.
Instructions on the opening post for setting up TubeHax DNS is missing one small detail:
1. Go to Wii U Menu/System Settings/Internet/Connect to the Internet
2. Input your router's SSID and password (typically WPA2-PSK AES)

Two things:
1. It is working for me by going to http://loadiine.ovh - but why do I get "CGI failure" error when using Mongoose? I've searched for this issue but haven't seen any answer yet. I would rather self-host than use the internet.
2. In the guide in the first post, under "Start Hacking" section, it states "1. Place at SD:/wiiu/apps/HBL/" - I think it should read "1. Place at SD:/wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/" or simply "SD:/wiiu/apps/" because the download already includes the /homebrew_launcer folder. I had changed it literally to "HBL" and then got error saying launcher file could not be found.

My router runs Tomato Shibby firmware which comes with a built in NGINX instance capable of running php. Has anyone hosted the exploit directly on their router this way? It would be mega convenient if it works. I'll be trying it a bit later today if nobody else has.
Hey. So yeah. Just lately I am having troubles launching HBC on my Wii U (not vWii). I am using an Sandisk 64gb mem. card, and I know it works. It works fine on my camera, and my PC and laptop. For some reason, I can't make homebrew work on my Wii U. I have the files in wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher. The HB folder is the same name as the .ELF file. I tried other memory cards, and I still get the same problem. Whenever the fake video pops up, I go to a white screen with the Wii U logo on the bottom right. Then it freezes on that screen with a little buzz noise. Help? Thanks!
