made an account just to say this, i had the same problem with the 9.2 patcher, it happens when you hit update before hitting patch. every time after that, it will ask for the original folder. deleting and re-extracting the patch files fixed it for me, but you have to make sure not to hit update first.

basically, attempting to update it before patching it screws something up with the patcher for some reason.

i just downloaded the patcher last night. unless you fixed it within the last 8 hours, i don't know what to tell you. =P

So, just to be sure. I need to click update on the patcher and patch the files in the 'original' folder and copy and replace the files on my SD card?

the update function will update a previous installation of the patch.
first ask you about the game folder. then will ask about the original folder that the patcher creates when you use the patch option and ask you to put safe (you should already have it). and then let you select what file you want to patch again.
And yes, you can use the update option directly on your sd card, it could take longer to patch though.

Ah welp, I,ve got trouble with the patcher.

Yesterday I patched my dump with the patcher version 0.9.2. loaded the game and it seemed to work just fine.
Now I read today that snowcracked added some fixes to the patch resulting it to raise the version to 0.9.3.
I just played a few minutes so I thought I patch the original files and replace them with the ones in my SD Card.

But now the patcher won't open. I just see a infinite loop of a loading sign on my mouse cursor resulting in nothing and I have multiple processes active If I watch at the Task Manager. The previous version worked just fine.
Also there is a new data in the xdelta folder named "License" and loose files named "patched" and "untouched". What are these for?

I hope you can help me with that and cheers for good work so far!

try finalizing all those processes (or reboot your pc) and download the patcher again to make sure it isn't a corrupted download.

Nope, tried all that and it didn't work sadly and I let the process finalize for more than an hour now xD.

Hmm, if you don't know what causes this (no offence) I guess I just have to wait for the new version and trying it anew.

I was trying to dump the DLC but my titledumper.exe crashed. I tried it again and it crashed again. Yes, I did unlock the DLC. Bought and installed it by opening te game.
Any idea what went wrong?

EDIT: Sorry, never mind. I got the path wrong. It works now.

The LICENSE file shouldn't relate to it, as it's simply there as it has to be distributed with xdelta, as it contains xdelta's license information (we kinda forgot to put it there)

All I can reccomend is running it as admin and seeing if the patcher works that way, we've had a few issues with it lately unfortunatly. We might be getting someone to make a newer, mutli-platform patcher if all goes well.

Freezing just after the opening cutscene, where the newspaper thing happens and when the subtitles are supposed to appear but before they do. Using 0.93, tried updating just to be sure, same result. I can't post saves because I can't actually save yet. EU version of the game.

I've tested with the latest patch and that scene appears to be working for me.
Have you tried doing a clean patch rather than using the update feature?

Yes, but on reflection I downloaded the patch a few days ago. While it says 0.93 it may still have that subtitle crash bug.

Guess I'll redownload it from mega, which is giving me 40KB/s right now. I know how ungrateful this sounds, but whatever happened to torrents?

We have to update patch a lot, and most of the team's internet is great. So torrents are off the table until a final release.

Mega seems to take a while to sync up, I keep downloading the movie xdelta from the 30th instead of the 1st. Is md5: f770dda2eafc4ef2d74f9c837bd1b7f2 the current patched movie.cpk? I'd like to know if the subs not appearing at the end of Chapter 4's Maho Detective thing is an issue on my end.

That is unrelated to the movie xdelta file, but is an issue with the lua file, it was recently reported and I usually wait a little bit for these in-game cutscene issues to pop-up more before updating this file as it can get a little tedious.
I might just update it as it seems we haven't had any more issues with in-game cutscenes report recently.

Only scene missing subs is the scene at the beginning of the final boss fight. It's the scene right here. Person in the vid skipped through it though. This is in .9.2 patch so don't know if fixed in .9.33.

Do you mean the pre-rendered cutscene? Or is there something after that?

Nvm, didn't watch the whole thing, will fix that now.

Fixed, patch has been updated.
