"Remastered"

I bought all the Bioshock when they were on sale on Steam and even on my mid-level PC, at 1080p, it still looks gorgeous. So I have to wonder what they did to this to make it even special? Adding a commentary still isn't enough to make me double dip and after finishing the story in Infinite, it's not exactly a game I want to jump back into again even if the city in the skies looks so beautiful.

I'm one of the biggest fans of Bioshock here for sure. However, is it me or does nothing in this video look remastered? Maybe it's too early to judge or my eyes are failing me somehow. The Bioshock games are all BEAUTIFUL as hell, but they are promising a remaster here.

Deffo will be getting this for Xbone.
I love Bioshock~

i'm tired of this hd remasters, remakes or remasters of remakes.... do all developers run out of their creativities or new ideas? actually these moneygrabber are become always lazier years after years.... doin their mind pumpfu-ck....

Actually, go play Bioshock 1 and set it to Ultra if your PC can handle it.
Early days of the Unreal 3 engine aren't the prettiest.
Everything has a big shine over it.

Yeah but PC has rebindable controlls right? That wouldn't be an issue imo.
When i say control, i mean, take for exemple, counter strike, when you move, it's WAY more precise than "casual" FPS that whant more realism in the moves right ? like GTA V fps view got a way more "smooth" way of moving than counter strike, it's good, to feel "in the game", Bioshock is, for todays FPS, a pain in the ass for me, i tried to replay it after infinite like i said, but it was anoying as possible to enjoy it with that kind of controls... so, betters objects definitions (i mean more polygons !) better textures, more awesome lights and better controls, and for free if you already bought them, you can"t say no to that...

uh, but making the movement smoother doesn't work well for all games. CS, for instance. It'd suck if the controls weren't precise.

I'm quite sick of the "HD" HD remakes. Are last gen games with PC releases really what devs should be focusing on touching up for this generation? Ah well. Can't complain about a free upgrade.

this is targeted for console users, not PC (although it is going to get a PC release also). the PC version is fine but for console gamers, this will be a big step up from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the 3 games.

HD remakes can be be a big improvement over the original, Doom 3 BFG for example.

Doom 3 BFG Edition is a huge improvement over Doom 3 for Xbox. For PC owners, it was optional as the PC version can look amazing, especially with the lighting and texture mods for it.

Doom 3 on PC was DirectX9 and could run whatever resolution and texture quality settings the computer could handle

Doom 3 on Xbox was the Xbox equivalent of DirectX8 that ran at 480p and had passable texture quality.

I had the PC and Xbox versions but I am sure PS3 owners were glad to even get to play Doom 3 as a least the Xbox 360 owners could play the Xbox version via backwards compatibility.

I for one am not sick of HD remakes.
Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, and Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 got an HD remaster that was quite a bit better than playing the original.

gmaes I really want remasters for:
Quake 4
Prey
Spyro 1-3 (If it is handled like the Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, and Ratchet & Clank remasters)
Crash 1-3 [getting a remaster (It better be good)]
Crash CTR (If it is handled like the Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, and Ratchet & Clank remasters)
Crash Bash (If it is handled like the Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, and Ratchet & Clank remasters)
Crash: The Wrath of Cortex (If it is handled like the Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, and Ratchet & Clank remasters)
