I've using RetroArch for Android, BlackBerry 10, 3DS.. is there a way we ever gonna see it on Wii U(not vWii).

It would be awesome, Wii U is powerful enough to get PS1 and even PS2 I think.

Not sure about how likely ps2 is, decent powered PCs have trouble with many ps2 games so a far less optimized emulator port for a less powerful system will probably not run well

As @bi388 said, prolly not PS2. I'd love to see a proper PS1, DS, and PSP emulator ported though if it is possible. That will most likely depend on IOSU though. Not for any other reason than IOSU will attract the scene that encourages ports of emulators and software, rather than just piracy homebrew.

I mean technically we already can do a tiny bit of emulation, by using VC titles and injection, but it's far from polished.

DS wouldn't be too much of an issue, N64, Snes, GBA, and even PSP, since PPSSPP doesn't have ridiculous requirements to run.
Even my crappy old laptop handled PPSSPP very well, hahaha

Can confirm I'm working on a RetroArch-style thing. Worth noting that it isn't actually RetroArch (too many things to port) but it works on the same cores. Winter vacation is coming up for me, so I'm going to be working on it a lot more. Have a link.

"Winter is coming. xD and I'm ready to code" LOL loved that

thank you very much! :D

EDIT:

I just checked the link, it looks beautiful, I wish I knew how to code T.T for anything, even Pebble xDDDD

I know it's not really the place to ask this, but since it's been brought up how likely is a psp emulator exactly? I know the wiiU is most likely powerful enough, but would architecture differences be enough of a problem in this case to stop it from happening?

It could get banned from PSN but you can change your ID I think?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
also gonna install twilight menu in my r4 flashcard

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

    For your R4
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
but why choose it over ysmenu @Psionic Roshambo?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
