I am having some serious problems with this program. When I first opened it it said "ERROR: No data found". Then I closed it and tried to reopen it, and now the program crashes everytime I try to open it... Can anyone help me out?

try downloadin patch 224 overwriting the files then overwriting the files with patch 288... that worked for me...

Edit: it apears that uwizard is not getting the full 288 update... find another program
I already thought of UWizard being the problem, the first thing I did after was try JNUSTool. Neither of them work, and for whatever reason CDecrypt won't work on my PC so I can't decrypt an update grabbed from anything else.

EDIT: It's probably because I have a 32 bit machine (and/or OS)

yes you need the patch but uwizard is not giving the full patch try JNUSTool(just google it...).
Got the update and still no luck :( I have no idea wtf happened.
Nevermind. Fixed it. the JNUSTool worked, I thought I used the data downloaded from it but I used the UWizard one on accident. Yay!!

hi ive been having a problem with sm4shexplorer. i tried to pack a mod and i have been running into errors where the access to certain files are denied. I usually would brush it off and remove the mod from that character or stage etc. and move on. However, this time, on a Sonic character skin mod, the access is denied as well, but when I try to remove it, it ALSO says the path is denied.
"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue(it doesnt.) If you click quit, the application will close immediately. Access to the path 'material_anime.mfp' is denied."

I can't continue or remove the mod, which means that i have to re-dowload sm4shexplorer and work on my patch all over again?! is there a solution to this?? thanks guys

this is the same thing i said on the last page. im having the same problem. and i even got a new sm4sh explorer and putting 1 texture in, and its doin it. ive tried on 3 different versions so far.

i found the problem. -C:\Users\Young Ecchi Sage\AppData/local/temp/sm4shexplorer
in there u have a file of a mod thats preventing things to work. of course young ecchi prince is my computer, use ur user name to get to appdata/. for some, theres no visable folder to get there for me. anyway, delete wuts in the sm4sh explorer folder. i think its a mod mod. for me it was the green sonic guy with the jeans, and its chr. thats wut worked for me.

Oh myy godd. I've tried almost all of my options and none of them seem to work. Is there a work around or way to run sm4shexplorer on a linux machine? Or is it just not possible? I've tried wine, it doesn't work even when trying to install DLL's required

When I get to the Sm4shExplorer finding the game in the 288 folder it says that it cant find the folder "patch" I've tried the process start to finish deleting everything and re-downloading everything as well and I keep being stopped at this problem. Any advise? As well I followed this tutorial and it works as far as I know just not for me....

I'm having a trouble with a patch I create in which it's not showing the changed UI elements for the DLC chars.

I have changed clouds and corrins CSP and other UI elements, however, my friend who uses the same patch as me, can't see them. Only the model is changed, but the CSP and UI related stuff doesn't appear and I can see them fine.

The main difference is that he has the console set to spanish, so it uses the folder data(us_sp).
Could it be that the patch fails to include something necessary to make them work on other languages?

He can see the modded CSP/UI stuff just fine with the base game characters; only the DLC ones are the one he can't see.

I was messing around with my content folder inside of my workspace. I renamed it to content 2 for a bit while working on some other non music related mods, and then i named it back to content as it previously was. Now none of the songs play in sm4shmusic, even the original game songs that havent been edited at all, could this be a directory related problem?

So, I'm trying to troubleshoot a "bug" of sorts. I have a lot of custom alts added in as additional slots, and I'm having an issue with the CSS taking ~30 seconds to load the CSPs for any character that has alt skins.

For example, Ganon doesn't have any skins in my build, and his CSPs load instantly as soon as the CSS loads, so if you hover over and select him right after the CSS loads, no issues. However, characters like Mewtwo, who have only one extra costume slot added, have "invisible" CSPs if you hover over them. The CSPs do show up eventually, but only after a 15-30 seconds, which is kind of gross. Sonic, and Captain Falcon, who have over 10 additional costumes each, don't load any faster or slower than characters with only one extra costume.

This hasn't always been the case, so I'm wondering if it has to do with the amount of content in my mod pack, or if it's something else entirely.

It automatically saves everything you do in the "workspace" folder. So long as you don't muck that up, you can come back to it any time.

Are you compiling the modifications in Sm4shMusic? Only thing I can think of is that the custom songs in Sm4shMusic aren't properly pointing to correctly named files.

What are you using for naming your music files?
