Melee crashes at certain parts of the menu sometimes, one time I was toggling every item off even though I could just switch the item rarity to none (which I did do), another time changing the level of a CPU in a slot with a player in it from 1 to 9, and the last one happened when I stayed in the stage select for too long. I have a save I got from someone else (with memory card emulation) and both WiiU Widescreen and Force Widescreen on. Everything else is default.

Edit: I just checked the compatibility list it says there are small beeps when writing to memory on almost every version, however none of them say anything about the crashing. Also, I don't remember what version I have but my best guess is version 1.00.
lol version 1.00 doesnt even worked with ssbm im betting you have a very outeated nintendont, why do people complain about bugs when they use ancient nintendont revs is beyond me.

It's the first thing I found, you gonna help me or what?

1.000 is ancient given that 4.412 appears to be the current.

...are you in fact using an ancient v1.x version of Nintendont, or is that your Melee revision?

If it's an ancient Nintendont, the first thing you'll want to do is update: https://github.com/FIX94/Nintendont/blob/master/loader/loader.dol
Game version is 1.00. I thought people would understand that as I said the version I have right after talking the compatibility list for all the versions of Melee, but I guess society just dosen't get it.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Don't forget to rename loader.dol to boot.dol.
If I didn't I wouldn't be able to launch nintendont :/

You didn't specify. Although we should have realized it as you mentioned Wii U widescreen. Still though when asking for help you need to be as specific as possible as too many times people didn't specify and received an incorrect answer due to misinterpretating the question. Also I don't mean to come off like a jerk but you are coming off as rude with your responses.

You would be surprised how many people download loader.dol and forget to rename it.

You were asked to provide more info on your current setup like Nintendont version and all setting. We also need to know what you are using to store the games on and make, model and size of. The more info you provide the more likely we are to find a solution.

Quick question. Have you verified the md5 hash of the ISO? Are you using a full ISO or a shrunken one. If shrunken please try a full ISO.

What is your ISO MD5?

If you don't want to grab that info, is it shrunken ISO or 1:1?

I'm not an expert at this so I'll say I'm using vWii and I haven't done anything to my IOS.
He said ISO not IOS. What is the file size of your game.iso for Melee? Without you checking the MD5 Hash of the ISO we have no idea if it's a proper dump. Many users here thought there were using a good dump when they really weren't. You need to verify the ISO even if you dump it yourself as sometimes you can get a bad dump due to a dirty/scratched disc. The more things we can verify is not the cause the closer we are to finding out what is going wrong.

As a side note:
Your attitude is going to make us not want to help you so cut the naughty language. You can't come in here demanding help and not want to answer the questions we are asking. Before you posted your setup, we knew nothing about it. A simple thing like messing with certain Nintendont settings can easily stop a game from working. Same goes for a faulty SD card, faulty/fake/3rd party controller, etc. The other thing is you mention a cIOS which Nintendont can't run on and on the vWii you shouldn't be installing cIOS's that were not designed for it as it can, at best stop things from working correctly, or worse completely hose your vWii with no hope of recovery and prevent the Wii U system side from updating.

Nintendont runs on the stock version of IOS58.

A racing wheel that works for gamecube also works for mario kart arcade gp/2. Something like that would have more of a arcade feel than a wii wheel since those have pedals with them.

Alternatively, since they're remappable, and I already have a compatible adapter for it, I can also get a steering wheel for the PlayStation 2.

File size was like 1.5 GB when I first checked, that means it's clean right?

that attitude ...
also you said iit was 1.5gb iso so your using a mac or something?
http://www.mediafire.com/download/5y3tfpoil433rij/MD5_SHA-1+Utility.exe
get this open your iso on it and wait afew seconds then copy paste the md5 values here.

the only thing i see that can make ssbb unstable is force widescreen since some games have random crashes with force widescreens even tough ssbm does have a coustom widescreen hack.
