Actually yes, member Jaslyn has joined eyenight and together they have just now finished translating all our prioritized graphics files, a handful of secondary importance graphics left, while member Yuuyuun has been doing a really smooth job editing the graphic files with their translation. We've tried identifying the English graphic font that was used in the game and posted about it in various forums but haven't had any luck so far, ATM we're editing the graphic files with a very similar font that is a good match unless we identify the original font. We've eventually posted a commission Ad about our img.bin 'Un/Packer/Inject' tool and while a few tool developers have shown interest it has proven to be quite difficult to create this sort of tool just yet. If we find an experienced tool developer who can handle this challenge and once this tool is available we then have a lot of translated "test" files('LovePlus' replies, 'Mail', graphic files, etc) waiting in line to check if we've edit them successfully and they run when injected in the game, if everything goes smoothly we will then be able to eventually release a new patch containing (at-least) the translated graphic files shortly thereafter while the search for translators & proofreaders with the academic background to handle the rest of the 'NEW' scripts continues... Added plugins & patching support for HANS/NTR/CFW/FLASHCARDS/3DS/CIA/CITRA.

After implementing this fix 「NEWラブプラス+」/「NEWLOVEPLUS+」 now runs with 3DS emulator CITRA, at the moment the game will only run with this unofficial build of CITRA, download the official version from the website and replace the original CITRA files. (This disclaimer will be deleted once the fix code will be implemented into the official CITRA release.) Member internetakias has also asked for the game's screen orientation to be added as a future option.

Hi,

Can I play with my console (N3dsXL Luma3ds arm9loaderhax firmware 11)
I have try to build with 3ds builder and Hans but never success to play it in my console.
but if i didn't include the patch and rebuild it (3dsbuilder or Hans), i can play it in my console.

ah if i run in Hans, Hans will read the Title ID to "00021A00" not "000F4E00" like original Title ID.
I try to rename it to "00021A00" but getting some error.

Sory for my poor english

Hello!

I'm a bit interested in helping out, though I've never really touched ROMs or their file formats in particular.

...I'm also not really a Windows developer, and have no real way to work on or modify C# projects such as the current version of NLPUnpacker. So currently I'm messing around a bit with porting it to a C++ version which would work on Mac/Linux (basically UNIX/POSIX-compatible systems). It's forked off of the NLPUnpacker repo.

I might be able to do a Ruby version as I've done some byte-manipulation of music file headers in that, but it's still notoriously hard to get Ruby installed on Windows, and I'd rather stick to C++ anyways.

I looked at your requirements documentation for the extract/injection tool, and it looks like you just want something that can go from the flat .bin format to an inflated directory structure and then back?

The two ways I can think of doing it off the top of my head are by either completely reconstructing the file based on the new dir structure or (if this is even possible) finding the byte boundaries of the important stuff, doing some sort of hash diffs on the files and the detected sections of the current binfile to see what has changed, and then deleting those sections and sticking the newly serialized data into those gaps.

Do you have any preference to these? I'm just now looking over the bin format layout, so I don't really have any idea what's possible or not.

Hi toroidalcode, thank you for considering to help with this! To put everything into perspective these are some of the file types that exist inside the img.bin and have to be edited/replaced for the translation:
Graphic Files in *.ARC format | already edited successfully, testing and patch release pending 'Inject Tool' creation.
'Maildic' & 'Wordic' in *.MDC format | 'Extract Tool' needed to edit successfully, text is visible after UTF-8 encoding, testing pending 'Inject Tool' creation.
'Strings' & 'Stringu' ('Loveplus Mode' replies) in *.LMB format | text is visible, 'Extract Tool' needed to edit successfully, testing pending 'Inject Tool' creation.

Then outside the img.bin we have:
'TextResource' in *.TRB format | find linked files or 'Extract Tool' needed. The '_resident_jpn.trb' / 'TextResource_jpn.trb' files carry a lot of the various text parts in the game however when we hex edited and tested some of the files with a translation it produced no results (code.bin was redirecting to files inside the exdata).

In conclusion we'd hope that ‘extract’ support would be added to the NLPTextTool for the rest of the game script files : 'Maildic' & 'Wordic' in *.MDC format | 'Strings' & 'Stringu' in *.LMB format | 'TextResource' in *.TRB format.

Concerning the 'Inject Tool', since it's also meant to become the regular tool for the Custom MODs creation Project it would be best to have a wide range of the file types it can replace so mod creators/users will have the freedom and ability to edit a lot of aspects in the game like the *.mdl.xml, *.texi, *.jpg location backgrounds etc... Perhaps since the 'NLPUnpacker' tool extracts files in 'package_0000' folders only initially allow the injection of these folder paths followed by their content rather than individual files? (cause identically named files exist in different folders and might cause a lot of problems.) Another thing to keep in mind is that for instance after editing the graphic files with their translation it produces a file with size different from the original...

This might belong more in the mods thread, but if I remember right from the original Love Plus game, the girls all directly refer to you as their boyfriend. This is all fine and well, but I think it'd be really cool for Nene to call me her girlfriend (it kinda breaks the immersion for me otherwise.. I know there isn't much to be done about the voices though).

I'm not asking for you guys to do this as I'm probably the only one who would want this, but do you guys think it'd be possible for someone with no experience in this area to do? And if I did, would it be alright to come back and release it in this thread (or modding thread) if anyone else wants it?

Question,

Hey GoddessKozy, I remember this request from the previous translation project!^o^ Actually it's not hard at all, once we're over(cause the scripts are still under process) you can download our finished scripts and the 'Nickname' corresponding files, use the project's NLPTextTool and then 'find and replace' everything you need to replace in NotePad++. You can release your "百合 / Yuri" version of the edited scripts in the Custom MODs thread, I also added this as a request at the MODs list.

Yeah it's at 28%, and we don't have any active translators/proofreaders working at the 'NEW' scripts at the moment since we are really short on staff and have focused all our attention at the graphics and LPM reply files but cannot actually inject, test or release any of these until someone creates the hacking tools that are required...

Ah, I see!

Does the NLPTextTool need to be compiled? I was going to look around at some of the scripts, but I'm not seeing an .exe file that is mentioned in the readme of NLPTextTool. While I'm here and since it seems like you guys are still in need of translators, I wouldn't mind helping if you have any N5 level work. I wish I could offer more but I can't take Japanese lessons again until the end of July.

I haven't done work with translating games before though, which is why I was wanting to look at the scripts. I'm pretty fast at picking things up but it'd be bad if I offered to help and then didn't understand the format the scripts were in.

you can find most of of our editing/translating instructions and compiled version of the tools in the 'file guide log', we could always use some help with the additional stuff other than the heavy text scripts that require more work, if you feel confident enough with your skills you can contact me @skype:loveplusproject to assign you with a small task of sorts, thank you for offering!^__^

I'm glad so many people want it too!

Knowing me though I'll probably end up going through like.. every script manually even if I don't need to, just to make sure there aren't any errors (tho after a couple times i'll surely figure out which ones to ignore)

I'm back! And i'm done with university!
Well, would done some stuff for work in 3 days and would work with this project.
(Would need to get all tools again... Because all roms and soft was in my hdd, that now is dead)

It would be nice if ppl who work with extracted files would share them with me
(It would be faster process, because i would need to get rom too...)
