This looks very good!
I'm just asking, what's the difference between this and the other Luma updater?
The big difference I see is that this allows you to install unstable builds.
Again, this looks awesome! :)

There are a number of underlying problems with how starupdater works right now, so I've decided to almost completely rewrite the program in order to get more flexibility for adding on new features. The latest release should work fine going forward, but it could be a few weeks before I have a new release out.

Thanks for this fantastic app :D
Thanks! It's always great to hear that people like your application :D

While I'm here, I have a question for you all about the rewrite. There are four (as I see it) ways to do the config file:
  1. Keep it the same as it is with no persistence of options like menuhax/dev/commits
  2. Completely rewrite it and force everyone to replace their configuration file
  3. Have two config files, one that has path and the other one that has menuhax/dev persistence
  4. And my personal favorite, scan the payload for what options regarding menuhax/dev/commits are selected by default and keep the config the way it is now (only path)
Thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

I've got one bigtime scope creep suggestion - what are your thoughts of updating not only luma, but some of the payloads commonly used by a9lh users as well (i.e. decrypt9, uncart, etc.)

More seriously though, I don't plan on supporting other payloads, at least until the rewrite is complete. I'd also have to setup a nightly site for those, and that's just ugh.

I've seen that chart before, absolutely brilliant, as it's very easy to relate to (I actually do write code all day long for my day job, just don't really have enough time to dive into it for homebrew in my free time).

Hi Astro, thanks for your hard work! I've installed the 2nd-last version today, as I don't need/want yet another icon on my home screen, so I simply launch the app via HBM. Works a treat. However, the most recent release only has a .cia compiled - any chance of compiling the .3dsx version too? Thanks!

Alright, I'll make a .3dsx but I'll remove the self updating option from the menu because it won't work anyway

Can you use this to just install luma? I have an n3ds with a very old version of aureinand and I'm trying to avoid taking off the back.
