So long as those edited file are in the workspace, right? Because I've been dragging and dropping from my downloads folder. Heh.

After your files go green in sm4sh explorer, they get placed in your workspace folder. It doesn't matter where you got them from. (I store mine on the desktop until they're loaded up lol.) After that I just move all my stuff to an organized space. So basically as long as you don't mess with the workspace folder, you're good.

Thanks, I figured that out but verification is much appreciated!

my problem of "directory isn't empty" appear again, i've verified all the access of the application, sm4shexplorer CAN delete and write in the directory, so it's a problem inside the program and not inside my pc

It's a problem with third party applications which check files and lock them sometimes, typically antivirus. I tried to do something about it for next version.

Do you think you could add some sort of option so certain extensions open with external programs ie msbt reloaded? Or maybe even certain param ones ie Jam's easy CSS editor with the character ui file?

I have a dump with 1.1.6 patch, that I have uploaded for public download. However, I need to have someone test it for me to make sure everything works. Anyone want to be a guinea pig? (inbox me)

With thanks to BoomShakaLarka on reddit I have a reasonably good understanding of what the Unk3 value on the MyMusic tab in Sm4shMusic does.

You might have noticed that Ashley's Song Ver. 2 and Lost In Thoughts JP both have that value set to 0. It turns out that, while checking on "US/EUR Region" in the sound test settings will make both of these songs properly appear in-game in the sound test and in My Music, it doesn't actually save any adjustments the player makes to their frequency and those songs would be stuck at 0.

I set the Unk3 value to 0 on another song and sure enough, the game wouldn't save values for that song, either! Thus, Unk3 determines whether or not My Music will save adjustments the player makes in-game to the song play frequency.

If you want Lost in Thoughts JP and Ashley's Song V2 to play you can just check off the US/EUR region box in BGM Management to make them appear in-game, and then set Unk3 to -1 for both of these songs and they'll start functioning in My Music. Not sure if there's weird ramifications for this but considering they're both fully functional in the sound test and even have localized text I doubt there's any serious issues that come from this?

And likewise, if for whatever reason you want to lock a song to show up in My Music but never actually play in battle, setting Unk3 to 0 will make that happen. Since the program says "if you figure out what this does, let us know!" I figured I'd...let you know!

Alright. I guess I got another question... I guess. Ever since I upgraded to the version with the VGStream fix, my songs that were recognized before still don't have their time slots displayed for some reason. Newer slots work fine, just the ones that were in the older version don't...
I dunno if you've managed to fix this issue on your own accord, but the way I did it was to remove all instances of a particular NUS3BANK from the music editor; under the BGM Management tab, change the BGM(s) under the Sound DB File section to something random (as in, not one of your custom BGMs), and then remove all entries of your custom BGM(s) from the MyMusic menu. Compile changes and then reinstate your BGM(s).

Consider it a music purge, if you will :P
