I got the "rare" softbrick when downgrading to 9.2. At that moment, I really thought I fucked up the system.

Luckily, the guys from IRC helped me calm down and told me I could boot in recovery mode and format the system to be able to downgrade xD

After I had finished the downgrading process to fw2.1, my 3ds couldn't boot into home menu with the sdcard in. Then it booted fine after I had removed the sdcard. I was so scared really although it was said in the plaitect's guide, thought that my 3ds in that moment is like schrodinger's cat, exist in both live and brick state, luckily my 3ds was not bricked. Maybe in other timeline my 3ds is really bricked!

Woah, My scariest part was on... The ult. steps, when i boot my 3ds with all a9lh setup finish and a nice black screen first boot.
It was bcs i did my first downgrade 10.5 to 4.X via GW, when i can do the downgrade to 9.2. But i don't know about the 3ds scene on that moment xD

And my solution was to restore my SysNAND 9.2 through decrypt9, but this doesn't boot and it's bcs i put a different startboot (L+R instead of Start). Once i'm on my 9.2 restored re-install again 9.2.0-20E via SysUpdater or PlaiSys (Idk now), delete through GM9 (GodMode9) some files on my CTRNand (those are on title/40138/02 and cmd folder) and with that i can do with no more problems my a9lh to my o3ds!

Oh, and when i suddenly delete via fbi all my SD root (Don't know why, bcs i choose the option delete, no delete all xD). Luck of that i have my previous Backup root. Some fails like rewrap app's when i take out and put in the SD (Only for check my backup is good xD) but that's all, only a few times, no more.

went smooth as silk on all 4 installs i did. but it was still scary every time to clone 2.1 rednand to sysnand.
What is that "rednand"? I don't know it, since i'm not a english native speak. I use the Spanish a9lh to do it and in that guide never mentioned that Rednand.

i'm not an expert, as far as i know its basically an emunand. there could be some small changes. i'm sure if you follow the guide it'l be just fine.
No, fine it's fine. I'm not too, bcs in EmuNand9 i see an option with Rednand but i never use it. All with emunand options. :o

Rednand is emunand and is referred to that in the English guide, but it's a better version over Gateways emunand in general.

The main advantage of RedNAND (Redirected NAND) over EmuNAND (Emulated NAND) is that it only takes 1GB of your SD card. EmuNAND takes 2 GB.

I accidentally selected the "Delete All" option on my SD root in FBI once, it froze for a while (probably listing all the files on the card) and then gave an error. Maybe I have too many files on my SD card or something. That error saved my ass though :P

Nothing really bad happened when I installed it on mine, but I was scared of copying a 2.1 emunand to sysnand, especially because I originally thought emunand couldn't be copied to sysnand like that. But after a few minutes of waiting nervously it went fine, then it was a breeze from there, just the lengthy nand restoring and stuff after that :P

I didn't have the arm9&11 bin files in my sd card and thought I was stuck on a 2.1 new 3ds for a few minutes
