I'm not really sure why everyone in this thread is acting like this, but I'll tell you.

Yes, it is illegal. So no one can tell you here. But there is a method to do it, use Google.

Come on man, everybody knows it's hard to use Google. Maybe we should post a tutorial on how to use Google properly as well.

How is it any more illegal than any of the other Smash Bros modding going on here? In all cases, all that is happening is changes to what the game shows. You're not adding data that would normally be paid for, the characters are already in the game, they come with the update patches, which are free...

ha,ha the Super Smash Bros franchise and morals?

To use your 3ds as a controller for SSB for the Wii U you to have to buy the cartridge for the 3ds. This is a joke. SSB is a great game and I own my copy but they completely take advantage of their customers. If you really can't see that then I am genuinely surprised.

I really don't care, I'd like to post how to do it for the sake of answering the question but I'd rather not go against any rules. However you are right: you are basically changing a "True/False" byte which allows you to have the DLC selectable, that's all.

Short story short, its possible. Like everyone says "Use google." Don't make a new thread. These kind of free DLC threads should probably be locked anyway since this is a non-piracy forum. One last thing, don't give hints how to do it. @Cyan
