I'll first need someone to confirm that we have everything we need (besides the OTP). Although to be fair, we technically already updated to 6.x and used it as the base to downgrade.... Either we have everything we need already or it was lost the moment we updated to 6.x... Right?
I'm tagging @d0k3 for him to check, but you may have a point.
You've got an actual full NAND dump now, also the XORpads. This is more than the regular a9lh installing user has, and means anything that comes up will be 100% fixable at least with a hardmod.

Now, D9 worked via mset? You can get FBI on there (safeSysUpdater, too) via the injector, and maybe get rxTools to run it. From there it should be easy. Always be careful, and maybe ask someone who knows better (I don't know much about how the updater works).

Alright, thanks for the confirmation: I'm familiar with updating to 9.2 from 6.x via RxTools, so this shouldn't be too bad. However, it would be a lot faster if we could just dump the OTP.bin directly from 1.0.... Oh well, at least we have the 2.1 solution.

At this point, I think we're pretty much done in this thread: Anyone who needs any of the NAND/xorpad dumps can PM me, but at this point I think it's just a matter of helping this user get their OTP and setting up A9LH like everyone else. I'll be helping them with that in private.

By the way, thank you for your assistance, as well as everyone else who contributed in this thread.

Wow. Uh nice work people...
Yeah this is wayyy beyond my skill level. Lessons please @d0k3 @CrispyYoshi
As for you @enes eyibil my suggestion is that you go out and buy a new 3ds. We don't know much about demo consoles (yet, thanks to you :) ) and the typical methods might just break. Furthermore, there still may be things that could be useful to extract. So uh hold on to that thing and go get yourself a consumer console and we'll help you from there.

I once tried to get hold of a demo unit to check, there was the lourve unit on here once that would have been cool to get dumps from iirc the lourve console auto booted into the lourve game from the sd though, does anyone know if there was ever anything done with one of those units?

Sorry for the kinda off topic chat XD

What do you mean with "lourve console"? Are you meaning to those units which are used in the Louvre museum or what?:lol:

Yeah there was 3ds consoles you could hire in the lourve that were used as interactive tour guides, someone had one on here last time but idk if it ever ended up in the hands of someone who could do anything with it (i.e dump the fw/software it was running)

EDIT: See here https://gbatemp.net/threads/louvre-custom-3ds-xl.385943/

Kinda off topic but how does Nintendo auto boot games? Let me explain. I went to a toys r us the other day and saw a demo unit. It was an n3ds running a hyrule Warriors demo. If you clicked the home button it just did nothing and with the power there was something interesting. The console would close for around a second and then take an extra long time to reboot. Then at a point you would see a little greyish thing on a portion of the top screen and after back into hyrule Warriors. Is that the method we use for things that auto boot or is that something new?

AFAIK all 3DSes can autoboot a cart which has that flag.

Off-topic: I just have found a nds cardtige which was used inPokemon events. Is there any interest in it from the community? Because if someone want it I could make a backup to study how it works.

I'm interested in any special retail demos. I'm not a programmer though so I could only document game play differences in the wii u virtual console emulator. If you felt ok sharing the rom with others that is.

Ok, I'll send you a link to the backup in a few days because I don't have a 3ds atm.
