I went through the a9lh process last night with my 3ds and during one of the steps my 3ds showed the serial number. I need to get the number for my other o3dsxl that lost it's serial number.

Anyone know a way to get it?

You could use GodMode9 to dump the SecureInfo_A and open it in a text editor (it's just text) to get the serial, IIRC.

One thing though: if you've used CFW to swap to a different one (e.g. to region change) that won't help you much.

i region changed but never swapped the secure info_A. I actually did the secureinfo_C way.
if that doesnt help, i can always restore a nand backup

There's a second serial number under the battery.
i bought my o3ds from a refurbishing seller on ebay. all the serial numbers were removed. an invalid serial number was on the back though.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Grabbing your Info_A should be fine then.
do you know what line it should be under?

It's at the very end of the file. If you open it in Notepad or some text editor, you'll notice it right away.

I remember opening up the Official Config SDK app on my N3DS once and finding that the serial number is displayed in the top right of the screen, I think it was.
Maybe that could help you find your serial quickly?

That's a huge red flag that tells me it's a stolen unit...
