Can someone please create a payload
Default = launcher.dat
Start = Decrypt9
A = CFW

Sec.: Is there a stage that boots Launcher.dat w/o button press and arm9loaderhax.bin with A or Start? i think that would be nice for the gateway user who dont what to use GW arm9 fork...
But nice work anyways

Possible when i'm back at home in a few hrs.

Care to provide some info on the payloads you used? Did you use only the ones provided with the guide from liomajor? Also what was your setup beforehand? Did you simply update from a current A9LH install? If so I'm gonna try re-formatting my sd card and then try again.

I can assure you that doesn't help. I tried a freshly formatted card with only "Launcher.dat" on it in all 3. Both O3DS XLs still failed. The N3DS XL still ran the launcher. It's not an SD card corruption issue. It's not a NAND corruption issue. I've already tried every "Basic Troubleshooting 101" trick in the book. The stage 2 payload just runs independently on some systems, but seems to need GW's stage 1 in order to work on others. Unfortunately, the only way to get GW's stage 1 is to run their installer, and lose CFW.

It's probably because it's an EUR O3DS. Those tend to have a higher success rate than USA models it seems.

As for redscreen, the button combo works and stage 2 loads > redscreen.

Maybe there is trouble initializing memorycard in gw's stage 2 and it doesn't detect launcher.dat

You can test to remove memorycard, press power > console turns off, insert memorycard, try booting gw.

If this doesn't help, be patient and wait for final gw release.

If this doesn't help, be patient and wait for final gw release.

I've tried the same memory card in both the non-working and working systems though. The ones that work still work, and the ones that don't still don't. It's not that. If anything it's a NAND compatibility issue. Maybe that's not the only stage 2 payload GW uses, though. Something worked on my O3DS when I was running the official GW A9LH after all.

I've tried multiple memory cards even. It's not that. If anything it's a NAND compatibility issue. Maybe that's not the only stage 2 payload GW uses, though. Something worked on my O3DS when I was running the official GW A9LH after all.

It's unfinished, no use in fixing until it's final.

Gateway only send one beta and wait for their reviews and (hopefully) fix the bugs. Last beta 4.0a.
That is how it worked last time.

I hope 4.0a is not the same as the leaked one. Holy crap that's in dire shape. Even the Time Machine's downgrader is hit or miss with bricking on my trial runs w/ hardmod. It seems weeks away at best.

Well, you can already rename the payloads around to achieve this. The payload_stage2.bin is the default. The payload_stage2_2.bin is what goes to A. Just switch their names. Be aware the only boot manager that's going to work right from being hotkeyed is CBM9, so your choices are limited to say the least. I would have made GW the default too, but not at the expense of BootCTR9 or Luma's chain loaders being useless. Also, you can make anything the third payload, as long as you name it "a9lh\arm9loaderhax.bin" -- you don't have to leave Safe A9LH Installer there, you can make it D9 just as easily.

Of course, you seem to want B to be left unused, much like I want A to be left unused. In other words, you want multi-NAND, and I want persistence override. Shouldn't be too much of a problem for liomajor to make those two configurations later, I think. For now though, you can get most of what you want. Or maybe that was someone else that wanted A and start. Similar request though.

4.0a is the same as the leaked one and 4.0a is not Last beta for the alpha testers.
note: 4.0a is the same one that Alpha testers get it before us so yah.get ready to enjoy

I've tried liomajor method and it worked great on USA O3DS FW11.0 sysnand :D
Can someone guide me on how to use luma and this together? My arm9loaderhax.bin is luma, and I dont know how to set the payloads to make it work along with gateway.

Hey thanks. I trieded and it works fine. GW on default and bootmanager on B.
The only think that is annoying is the red screen on start. Would it help to use a no screen int payload?

Easy Install using safeA9LHinstaller

This allows to have three stage 2 inside nand to load them
using button combinations while powering your console on!

This includes only stage 1/2 files and installer!

You will need your very own private otp.bin and other files.

Details:

1. Extract the rar file to your memorycard!
2. Copy the following files to A9LH folder: OTP.BIN (your own!) / firm0.bin / firm1.bin / secret_sector.bin
3. Either use your desired entry point to load Homebrew Launcher and start safeA9LH installer or update with included arm9loaderhax.bin
4. Press select to install/update a9lh

Already using a9lh? Use arm9loaderhax.bin to update!

You can swap stage2 files to switch button combinations, but i suggest to boot \arm9loaderhax.bin by default!

Tested and works with my own new3DS XL!

The arm9loaderhax.bis is the same as the safearm9istaller.dat but user how as a9lh already installed can use the .bin it's just easier to use.
But it's just the updater

Like i said, including in the package is the update as arm9loaderhax.bin > use this one to update instead of .3dsx.
