I have to admit I installed the games when rxtools was installed. Could this be the problem that games stop working when installed with rxtools AND its using extended memory region?

This could be my final push...
I'll try uninstalling the cia (i installed it using rxtools as well) then reinstall and try again.
*sighs*

Its better if you update to 9.2 man, you won't regret it at all. Just make sure you Run RxTools in DevMode before updating. Follow this completely and you should be good to go :D

Thanks, and I might update one of these days. But I guess not tonight. I'm still green in all this technical stuff (imagine it took me a whole day just to switch to another CFW and make it work lol) besides, I dont have a laptop atm :wtf:

Did it work? I don't have access to that console atm so I can't test it

Unfortunately, it did not

I'll try to switch back to rxtools (3.0 this time) and see what happens. If it still doesn't work, then I guess I'd really have to find a laptop/PC and update my sysnand to 9.2... Or I could simply :hateit:

I think you will have to update to get it working, I'm afraid. I don't know the details but I think the emuNAND is using the firm of the underlying sysNAND, which is too old to play those games? I'm sure we're all happy to walk you through it though. Personally it's been such a long time since I've used rxTools that I'm fuzzy on how to get to dev mode but someone else will be able to tell you. Basically you will install sysupdater.cia on your system, put the correct update cias in an updates folder on your SD, boot into dev mode, run sysupdater and update your system. Then you'll put the homebrew starter kit on your SD, run browserhax, install menuhax, then configure menuhax to launch luma on boot - then you can enjoy monster hunter etc and have emuNAND startup on boot.

Thank you! I figured I'd really have to update too, and I just might if I can borrow my friends laptop today. (Been using my tablet to change CFWs since yesterday lol)

Whats bugging me is that some people CAN play mh4u/ssb on 4.5sys O3DSes (I've read it somewhere. Gonna be hard to find the thread though) and thats why I'm still trying everything on my end to make it work without a system update.

Also, for some reason, I cannot get browserhax to work on my o3DS. (since my flashcart's SD was messed up and I needed another entrypoint aside from ROP installation) I got all the required files onto my SD, tried entering the URL on the browser and/or using the provided QR codes... the damn thing just wont boot HBL.

It's possible that browserhax (like menuhax) only works on greater than or equal to 9.0, but I'll check if that's the case.

Oookay. So basically I'll inject FBI on sysNand (using my current CFW), get the homebrew starter kit (which I already have) put all the files and the 9.2 update + required updates folder on SD card, then install and run sysupdater to upgrade to 9.2 sysNand right? Will my MSET be upgraded too? I mean I wanna make sure I have backup entrypoints in case one fails to exploit.

Also, the whole arm9loaderhax + Luma3ds seems a bit too complex for me (simply reading the installation guide made me dizzy) would I be fine if I stick to CakesFW/rxtools 3.0? I hope someone can confirm that MH/SSB works on these two CFWs on 9.2 sysNand. Otherwise, updating would be pointless.

Will my MSET be upgraded too? Yes so you can't use DS profile exploit anymore I mean I wanna make sure I have backup entrypoints in case one fails to exploit. Once you're on 9.2 you can still use browserhax, and the first time you successfully get into browserhax you'll install menuhax, so you can always get into HBL on startup. Make sure to change the theme at least once before you try browserhax or else he menuhax installation will not work.

Also, the whole arm9loaderhax + Luma3ds seems a bit too complex for me (simply reading the installation guide made me dizzy) would I be fine if I stick to CakesFW/rxtools 3.0? You don't need to do a9lh but you really should use Luma, rxTools is old and no longer updated and could have bugs and very few people will remember how to help if you have issues. Luma is way better and if you have problems you can get support. Running rxTools is like trying to stick with windows 95 in 2016. I hope someone can confirm that MH/SSB works on these two CFWs on 9.2 sysNand. Otherwise, updating would be pointless.

Hi, I recommend u to replace your SD card to a micro one with a SD adapter.
already using one of these? GREAT!
so i am pretty sure that u can just put the micro SD in the micro SD card slot in the tablet and manage your SD from there and then copy all the needed files to update to 9.2 and finally use luma3DS!
BUT be sure when u updating with sysupdater to press update and not downgrade and update ONLY IN RXTOOLS DEV/PASTA MODE OR ELSE U WILL BRICK!!!

Upgraded to 9.2 successfully. Installed menuhax+ctrbootmgr+Luma3ds.
And wow! THE GAMES ARE STILL NOT WORKING. Not even the mh4u demo I downloaded off ciangel works.
What am I missing?!?!?!

If your using ctrbootmanager, then you have to use the patch changer program that comes with luma3ds is in the zip. Tell it where your booting from and it should work
