Old saying " if it's not broke don't fix it" menuhax isnt to long plus I have everything setup on my new3ds gatewait. And I don't play GBA that much and gateways Ds cart works for Ds.
How did you "Almost" brick your n3DS?well i am new in this and i almost brick my new 3ds on the downgroading processs to 9.2 and i am okay with reinand , so in my point of view i dont need it
If you're using updated sysNAND you just have to copy the files from one card to the other. What happeds if I replace the SD card? Or wat to remove it? My n3ds is jap and have usa emu, can I keep us region? How does the update work? Will it ever be blocked?
You will have to move your EmuNAND to your new SD Card. What happeds if I replace the SD card? Or wat to remove it? My n3ds is jap and have usa emu, can I keep us region? How does the update work? Will it ever be blocked?
Oops I missed that he had an emuNAND, yeah you have to create an emuNAND on the new card, backup the emuNAND on the old card, and inject the backup to the new card. You will have to move your EmuNAND to your new SD Card.
Where i was doing the downgroader the program just frezzed and i was like damn i turned Pff my 3ds and like 3 times i Got a black screenHow did you "Almost" brick your n3DS?
Oh, okayWhere i was doing the downgroader the program just frezzed and i was like damn i turned Pff my 3ds and like 3 times i Got a black screen
Anyone else have a r4i sdhc dual core 2014, experiencing a black screen on launch? It's the one with the bomberman banner. Can only turn it off by holding the power button.
now its fine , haha but it was a bit scared .Oh, okay
You should've asked here or anywhere on 3DS Flashcarts & CFW subforum before switching it off
"fix" what, exactly? The exploit basically points the system's bootloader to the SD card. I still don't get what people's fixation with this "issue" is anyways, do they REALLY use a system without an SD card all that often? Are they afraid of the SD card failing? (If so, it's as simple as frequently backing up your SD card, the same way as you would with any other data, and if push REALLY comes to shove, you can simply use a new SD card and pop on the firmware files, and you're good to go) Also, I'd be more than curious how exactly you intend to install games should this ever be "fixed"? (Here's a hint, the system itself doesn't have enough room open to fit an average game without an SD card). As it stands, you're actually further up shit creek (pardon the language) if you're using a menuhax setup, because 1. You're already relying on an SD card for the system to boot into the environment you're using, and 2. This is a bit harder to recover from, should your SD card take a nosedive on you...
Edit: and to address the one and only reasonable concern, keep a backup of sysnand before you install a9lh on it, if you have any possible intent on selling the system off long term, this can be used to bring you back to a full on factory system.

GameStop. Personally I agree with you, but some people like to have this option. Why would you want to restore it before selling? You'd be able to make a lot more money selling an already exploited system.
Yes, I may want to use the system normally. It shouldn't be reliant on an SD card to function. I don't care about recovering shit from my SD, I backup my game saves anyway. My current menuhax system is great. I want to be able to use the system should anything happen to my SD card; or if I don't want to use my SD card and just play my cartridge. In my current setup I can. It's the freedom of not being locked/reliant that I desire. I'm not reliant on menuhax; I can play my cartridge games normally without it.
Okay so we are gonna get a solution for people like you. ShadowHand is working on an a9lh CFW which is on your CTRNAND partition, and a new A9LH payload. If no SD Card is detected, it would boot the CFW from your CTRNAND partition, giving you A9LH CFW without your SD Card. This is highly useful for people who rely on Cartridges for their games.Yes, I may want to use the system normally. It shouldn't be reliant on an SD card to function.
