Are there more useful acres out there? I tried a few and they just show up as a black square.
Nope, the other acres are either black squares , invisible acres or debug acres.
There's also some special cliffs but if I recall correctly they're invisible on the minimap, so..
They are probably the island tours' cliffs. I don't mind they have no thumbnail if they are really usable.

does anyone know what to do with the fact that I have Kapp'n stuck in the docks? I mean, I changed the acre and moved the docks to where I want them, but now he is kind of stuck in the docks and I don't know how to fix it.

However, I don't have time to find the offsets for those. Are they documented? The old RAM editing thread is a mess.

Do you know whether like CF and WW when if you hack your town's shop to upgrade then it only holds the original number of items (so for example it could be upgraded to the biggest possible shop, yet only hold the same number of purchasable goods as the starting shop)?
Why would you be nervous to ask on a forum lol? don't be silly.
Erm I don't think it's easily possible. Check whether your console is capable of running homebrew, and then worry about trying to hack ACNL.
You won't be able to do the old inject/dump method through the browser exploit, since I imagine your browser version is too recent. If you manage to get homebrew running then I'd advise you to download menuhax, so you'd have a stable entry point. Then you can do as you wish, acnl hacking, downloading legit CIAS, downgrading if wanted etc

i have that stupid connector on my gpu luckily it's only a 300w gpu so i should(?) be fine since all the issues are with the quad 8pin->12pin and mine is only dual 8pin

quite a tight bend on that 8pin->12pin adapter in my case, which is the worst case scenario, but i made sure it was fully seated after plugging everything in and bending the cable so it shouldn't come unseated by itself since i pre-stressed the cable
