I have an issue with Wiiflow. Whenever I try to start it, it says I need to update IOS 58 and HBC... Except I have no idea how to update IOS58... Also, I was wanting to backup my games onto an external HDD so I can play them with USB loader gx, but I've been reading online that if I want to backup my Wii games I need to wipe my HDD... So the main point of this was, is it possible to just stick the wii backups into a folder and then play them like that? Because I have a bunch of apps and stuff on that HDD and if backing up my wii games means I won't be able to use them anymore then I'm not going to backup my wii games. All my usb sticks are in use and my only 32 gb card is in my 3DS, so I'm stuck with a 4gb card and a 500 gb HDD.

First off install this onto your Wii. Then, download a Partition utility or; Go into Disk Management (Windows), right click the External HDD, and Click shrink volume, then adjust the size. This will create a unallocated disk space. Now, use CFG USB Loader (Recommended!) and format the Unallocated drive space (BE CAREFUL), it should be the one that is the size you created, and it may/may not say NOT FORMATED. Now, once formatted, CFG will use this partition, and you can install Games via the Disk Drive. You can also download ROMS, and use WBF Manager to Install roms to the Drive from you PC.

If you need more help, then reply. Sorry, this post is a tad bit old.

Already got backups to work, but my wiiflow just screwed up. I set wiiflow to autostart with cios and changed my sd card to a micro sd card (w/ adapter) and it won't work. I can't even start wiiflow up. Also, where are the settings for wiiflow located?

Reinstall WiiFlow, by deleting the Folder, then Copy a fresh version. I don't remember where the Settings are located, since i don't use WiiFlow. I only use CFG USB Loader. xD

Follow this Tutorial to reinstall WiiFlow as well as your cIOS'.
I'm just gonna copy and paste everything from the other thread..

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I need some help with Wiiflow. I saw this thread about making wiiflow auto start with CIos and now Wiiflow won't even start up... It just stays at a black screen when I try to start it. Yeah I realized I screwed up when I saw it was for vWii and not Wii... And now I can't figure out where the setting config files are. I don't want to have to delete my whole wiiflow thing because I have a bunch of custom covers and music and all kinds of crap. There are no jpgs in there either. Also, what's strange is that USB Loader GX works fine, but the saves are behind. Like for example, when I was playing Punch Out!! on Wiiflow, I was in title defense fighting Don Flamenco. But then when I started it with USB Loader GX, I was all the back to the contender sandman fight. Please help me out, title defense is a pain, and I really want to play my wii backups again. Also, I uninstalled and reinstalled wiiflow in the apps folder.

UPDATE #1: I reinstalled all the wiiflow files, and it still didn't help ;/

And I can't do a nand recovery either, because I have a newer wii.

Welp, I moved the wiiflow files (you know, the folder on the root of the sd card) and that didn't help. I'll reinstall the cios

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Dang, reinstalling the cios's (slot 250 with base 57 & slot 249 with base 56) didn't help. what now?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Downloaded the stable release, didn't help. Gonna try going back to the masterpiece pack one, see if that helps.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also, in case nobody knew, I'm using an original wii, with 4.3u.

At this point, the best thing to do is a NAND Recovery, unless you don't have once. If not, just Format, and Reinstall everything from Scratch (That would be a Pain  )

Can't do a nand recovery, I have a newer wii :(

Also, formatting it wouldn't help. I reinstalled all the wiiflow files.

Does nobody know what to do about this?

Changing the sd card back to the old one fixed it

....

Sorry for being an idiot
