If I were to pull out my o3ds and a9lh it what would the brick rate be? Assuming I follow the guide to the T.

Is your 3ds unmodded? That does make it a little bit easier, but it's not necessary.
I'd say the brick risk is less than 5% now. The programs used are really safe now and assuming you follow the guide to the T, there is no user error and just the programs have a risk of freaking out (which is very small now)

Ok thanks.

So i case of Luma3DS theres no difference between legit EUR cia's and illegit ones?

Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk

Nope, because Luma3DS patches everything so the unlegit cia's are seen as legit as to say so.

It's my unmodded Pikachu 3ds XL thats extremely special to me. I have done it three times and zero brick, but I'm a bit of a worry wart.

Nah, no worries there! I did it with my unmodded o3ds and I was just fine. Just think of it like this: the o3ds was made to run the lowest firmware (1.0.0-0) so downgrading to 2.1 and running it should be a piece of cake for the o3ds because it can run firmware from before that. (Not saying that the brick rate on the n3ds is higher, I have no stats, but the n3ds was never designed to run 2.1 firmware) Your 3ds will be fine. You're familiar with A9LH so you know what to do.

Alright I'm pretty sure OTPHelper scans through the emuNand to check if all titles are fine, is this true?

OTPHelper basically checks everything, checks everything again, does its job, checks everything again and once more. So yeah. It's pretty damn safe!

Is there a list somewhere that contains all the games that have the ap check?
The only list i found is on reddit and is not up to date at all.

I would say all new games. So look at that list then start looking up release dates, any newer games would be a safe bet they have the ap check

Alright, i thought maybe it's the same as the newest copy-protection for pc games (denuvo) that costs a lot of money, so not all games have it.
Thanks.

Step 7

Section V - Removing RedNAND from your SD

  1. Press Select on the main menu to eject your SD card
  2. Delete emuNAND_original.bin from the root of your SD card
  3. Backup every file on your SD card to a folder on your computer, all files will be deleted in the next step
(if you followed Part 3 of this guide, you can delete the SD card backup from that - this will replace it)
  4. Reinsert your SD card into your 3DS.
  5. Hold Y on boot to launch EmuNAND9
  6. Go to "SD Format Options", then "Format SD..."
  7. Select the "Format SD Without EmuNAND" option
  8. Ignore the starter.bin prompt and continue
  9. Press Select on the main menu to eject your SD card
  10. Put your SD card in your computer, then copy all your files back into it

To remove your RedNAND you need to use Format SD (no EmuNAND)

As long as SuperMysteryDungeonHax or whatever works on the latest firmware, then yes you can use it to downgrade.

Homebrew only needs entrypoints, so it doesn't matter if I use OoTHax or Ninjhax or SuperMysteryDungeonHax. The result will be the same.
Okay thank you , is downgrade possible with 10.7?
