Uhmm, because I bought it? The Physical Cartridge. Do not really understand how that would be difficult. ;)

Then I am sorry. Just wanted to play online, but if I can't install it nothing I can do about that.
Thank you anyway.
You have to use Luma3DS and "enable region/language emulation" and set it up properly. That is, in sd:\luma\locales\, create a text file named <titleID.>.txt (e.g. 0004000000102F00.txt) and inside of that file, put (without quotes) "JPN JP".

The alternative is to configure the language emulation plugin for NTR (using the Japanese plugin, of course). You do not need to reinstall; it's already there. Doing either of things things will let it show up.

Of course, the third option is to use a Gateway.

As far as I know, however, this does not let you play online. Never tried myself though... I hate trying to play anything online.

I don't believe you can update out of region games I'm afraid.

Yes you can. Read above.

Doing this lets you update? If you can update but not play online there's not really much point though.

You could try a downgrade to 9.2 and use CFW on EmuNAND or A9LH'ed SysNAND

That isn't going to make him be able to get the update. However, a region-changed emunand using the new developments that let you use eShop (as I said above) might.

With CFW he can use the CIA to update.

Not update through the eshop, but an installed .cia either from funkyCIA, funkeyCIA, or directly through FBI via CDN install. If you have already installed a .cia of the update, simply doing what I said will let your system recognize that it's there.

I mean like, Owning an eShop version of smash bros on FW version 10.5, and being able to install it from CIA
yep, you can, as long as the CIA is legit. You can't install non-legit CIAs without CFW anyway.

There is no way (currently) to install a personal, legit .cia. I haven't tried on the latest FBI, but it has always failed in the past, to my knowledge. Only legit .cia's from a pre-installed title has been able to install. Don't know if that's an issue with how FunkyCIA2 makes the .cia, or if it's just how the installers are handling those files.

I've read all the FAQ, and it doesnt respond to this question of mine: Do I NEED a CFW in order to install CIAs? What's the requirements to install CIAs with NASA?
I've seen videos on Youtube where people just run NASA via HomeMenuHax and install the CIAs like if they were candy or something.

You don't need cfw if you're only gonna use NASA, but it's not optimal. NASA imo, is mainly used by people on >9.2 that don't want to downgrade. The problem with NASA is it can only install legit cias on >9.2 which is fine. Tbh, we should be happy that's even possible. But no, you are limited, so it's not like installing as if cias were candy per-say. So the requirements would be: be on a firmware greater than or equal to 9.2 and less than 11.x.

Of course, if you have a 3ds on 9.2, then none of what I said above applies to you and you can go about your marry way installing whatever you want. Although if you are on 9.2, then I'd recommend FBI or a better and faster installer.

Quote&Reply is not working on my phone.
So anyways @Just Passing By thanks for your clear response.
Im in Old 10.3 with Menuhax/Ironhax, so I guess i'll be fine...? Im not trying anything just yet anyway.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

how to use NASA on 10.7 ? i dont have any hax.

It's finally working -_-
I've been out of the scene for a long time. The last thing I knew was that the 3DS got the firmware update to 10.4... go figure.
But you can find information about new entrypoints to install Homebrew Launcher on your current firmware on that githua page: ''The Homebrew Launcher''
