Finally got off my arse and installed it. Did a quick test on Twitch with Mon Hun and felt rather laggy... think the frame rates were roughly 15-16 however I imagine the drops are from streaming the 3DS to PC &&&& then Twitch...

Has anyone got any preferred settings to enhance the frames and allow the smoothest viewing?

I tested it as well and got some good to mediocre results (https://www.twitch.tv/barky65/v/63376138). I feel like it's so close to being perfect. I wonder how to reduce some spikes/drops. I fixed the online issue i was having by only streaming the top screen and not the bottom though some command line arguments.

I know there are Qos settings but the documentation isn't great for figuring out what it does exactly. I wonder if the frame rate has 100% to do with the quality of the wireless or if the cpu use on the 3ds side has something to do with it too.

Wow! this look so awesome! The frame rate look stable.

Has anyone the same problem that me? Im trying to stream but have "illegal quality" fail.

This was the messange on NTR Debugger:

> connect('192.168.1.151', 8000)
null
Server connected.
> remoteplay()
null
Will be disconnected in 10 seconds to enhance performance.
illegal quality

update from me: after replacing my old wireless router with a new dual band one, I can stream perfectly with no skipping/freezes at 100 qos. If this thing is important to you and you want to have better performance, I think upgrading your router is definitely the way to go. I was skeptical that upgrade would do anything but it has made a huge difference. I can tell no difference between those hard modded and me streaming. Small video of me failing attached to show quality:

wow that was from the NTR Viewer? looks great! What kind of other settings did you use? and what are you recording with? Im still having issues recording in a decently sized window, it always looks so damn tiny, that or if i stretch it out its super pixilated

Yup! The command I use is remoteplay(priorityMode = 0, priorityFactor = 0, quality = 90, qosValue = 100). I only use the top screen as I don't think the bottom adds much to streaming. I stream at 720P normally, but I can imagine if you try to stream at 1080P the screen will look even more pixelated/smudgy because of the low resolution of the 3ds screen. I basically used OBS to make the 3ds screen bigger and tried to balance screen size with screen quality. I think the size I have it at works great. Hope this helps. As a side note, I'm using my new router as a client exclusively for my 3ds to stream, I have another router that actually accesses the internet (3ds->client router->internet router->Internet). Since wireless quality is so important for this I figured I would add that in there.

Using a JPEG quality of 90, I can get around 40-60FPS (bottom screen completely disabled), I also scaled the viewer to 3.0 so that the video feed will have decent clarity when editing. The image looks pixelated due to the low native resolution of the 3DS, but the pixels themselves aren't blurred during post-recording scaling. Video transcoding seems to have offset some of the visual artefacts produced by the JPEG compression too, which is handy.

i remember reading that 3.4 preview 1 can only run 1 game, then if you try to load another afterwards it crashes.
does preview 2 fix this?
