I don't really know everything about BigBlueMenu, but I succesfully installed the CIA DLC in FBI. Are you installing it in sysNAND or emuNAND?

Both says install failed! Invalid cia.

all snarky bullshit aside. I have the exact same situation. I bought the game so I could play online and use unofficial DLC. Dump the game using gateway. And put the 3DS file on your card There isn't a way to use your legit card while using hacked DLC from my knowledge
I did unlink em.
I have rx emunand. Is that problem??

Yes installing cia dlc is impossible.
Tho idk if you dump the card and make it to cia (Is that even possible?? Im scrub)

Yes. Dumping the game will work using hacked DLC. I know this cause I did it. I can also legally play online with legit headers

I think this is problem with cia or fbi / bbm.

i rember that once i had installed a dlc for a cartdridge and it worked. (not remember what game tho)
here's what i did to make smash dlc work.
first, get all dlc packs (2,3,4,5 and 6) for smash and the latest update file as cias for your specific region.
go to system settings, software management and remove everything smash bros related that isnt the game itself.
then, using big blue menu, install the update cia. its about 400mb or so. afterwards, install the dlc packs from 2 to 6 in the right order.
when that is done, start your smash and check if everything worked. you'll prolly get a million messages about unlocking chars, costumes and music.
if it doesnt work, power down, start up and check again. if still nothing, remove everything from system settings except the game again and repeat again.
eventually, it should stick. know though, that dlc gets removed whenever you log in to nnid like with the eshop. in that case, you need to install dlc again, however, at this point, its sufficient to only install the latest pack. you can remove the rest from your sd. (best to make a folder for your dlc cias that you can mass install whenever you went to the eshop)
if a new update comes out, again, remove update files through system settings, get the new update cia, install that.
for whatver reason, smash dlc cias dont work well with officially downloaded update files.

i ought to check that with my fE:A game and dlc. i honestly dont see a reason why hacked dlc wouldnt apply to a legit cart. appart from the problem smash has with non-cia update data
