Is there anyway I can fix DS mode in my 3dsXL emunand ? Every ds game i try to run in there goes into the "an error as ocurred message', I use the same rxtools build (05th december one) in my regular size downgraded 3ds and DS mode works in this one...The difference between those is the size and the way I got to 9.2.0-20E...I downgraded the regular 3ds with a full update pack, and updated the 3ds XL from 4.3 with a modified without Twl-Mset-Agb pack...Do you think if I updated those in sysand it will fix ds mode in Emunand ?

Anyway, because of the aditionnal delay, and because the lastest firmware is now required for online play, I'll release a dirty solution tomorrow so that everyone can have latest emuNAND and play online again.

That's nice for people that a N3DS and want to keep rxTools.

Is this dirty solution unstable?

[16:29:48] AlbertoSONIC: Don't plug the usb charger on it(the hardmod port) or you'll burn the nand xD
[16:34:54] motezazer: "Oh, yes, it's a regular microUSB port! I forgot. Just for the joke, I'll plug my phone charger on it, to see if it works. It's not plugged on the other side, so no risk."
It was plugged on the other side...
[16:35:45] AlbertoSONIC: Noh
[16:35:48] AlbertoSONIC: Really?
[16:35:59] motezazer: My eMMC is burned
[16:36:27] AlbertoSONIC: You're kidding
[16:37:49] motezazer: No ^^
My charger was still on the USB port of my computer, because I copied the photo from my phone to my PC.

HE BURNT HIS NAND BY PLUGGING THE PHONE CHARGER IN THE HARDMOD PORT :/
This must have had you faceground at that moment.

Um, updating twl at least might help. If you use using the ds profile exploit at all on that system I would not update MSET.

oh yeah, 9.2.0.20U. Sorry about that. Looking in the folders, there were 2. I guess I'd forgotten to fix the title.db and import.db.
But this isn't my issue. My issue is that when booting into emunand, the 3ds just shuts off. I can get to the rxmenu and I can use devmenu, but if I try to load emunand, it just powers down.

My question now is, are there any ways for me to edit the emunand without actually having to boot it? (Like a windows editor or some other brew for 3ds)
At this point i feel like the problem is that I bricked emunand. Would that cause this?
hold SELECT when you boot emunand. Does that do anything different? If not, you bricked it. Just format emunand again. or simply inject a NAND dump into emunand. You will need to unlink them again.

Honestly if you are not using the DS profile exploit, I would grab the 9.2 O3DS update package from that iso site and install it using sysupdater while in devmode (or pasta mode with the nightly releases). It will update the titles that did not get updated before (and you can always just reinstall the 6.x mset later if you want to use the profile exploit again).

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know how to get MinGW's bash to see/use arm-none-eabi-gcc instead of just throwing an error?

I can compile arm stuff just fine if I use the windows command prompt, but if I try and use a MinGW bash i get "ake[1]: arm-none-eabi-gcc: Command not found"

haven't you been told before to use the compiling thread for this? If not then... link is in my sig. You should be using a regular command prompt with devkitpro, not MinGW Bash. Any errors are usually things missing from your environment path.

Lol I actually meant to post that in another thread. Had like 4 of them open at the time, sorry. Thanks though, I wasn't sure if it was possible to use the MinGW bash for compiling.

We won't be able to release the dirty (but enough stable) port today, but we're almost done ;)

Will this have the fixed super stable 3d?

The fix for the 3d is to close the lid and reopen it. To be completely honest there are far more important things to worry about stabilizing (like DS/gba playback without having to manually reboot into sysnand first) before they mess with something that will likely require major rework of the initialization code.

That is, of course, assuming that a CFW can do the necessary re-initialization of the graphics chip and display from the weird soft-reboot we use to access cfw. I am pretty sure the only reason SALT is able to do it is because they are using arm9loaderhax to gain access before native_firm even loads fully.

Sorry, but that isn't important in the slightest. "Stable" GBA from emunand generally breaks stability with SSB, MH4, etc. on o3ds (at the very least, it kicks people back to sysnand on exit) and it ALWAYS loads TWL/AGB_FIRM from sysnand anyway. SYSNAND is how those are meant to be played.

EDIT: Frankly, in the days where you can autoboot ctrbootmanager and such and then pick your poison (Cakes/Reinand/etc), I don't understand why so many people still complain about this.
