Hacking R4i Gold in New Nintendo 3DS XL - Does not fit?

Hi ya'll!

I ordered an R4iGold from nds-card.com but it doesn't seem to fit inside of my New Nintendo 3DS XL. It just won't click in. It worked in my original DS, but that's not what I needed it for. Did I order the wrong thing? I contacted them about it but wanted to ask if I need to order something else instead.

Put it it slot and slightly move left-right until it clicks.

DO NOT FORCE IT, this could damage the console or slot!
I found my 2ds slot is too short, while my o3ds and original ds/dslite consoles fit it fine.
I imagine it's simply a slight sizing difference in the slots of some models, or that the cases for some of the carts were manufactured slightly too large.
Compare it to another ds cart and see if it's SLIGHTLY taller.

To fix this on my r4ids.cn cart I simply took a nail clipper file and gently sanded off a tiny bit of plastic off the bottom part of the cart.
Took less than a minute, and now it seats perfectly in my consoles, you could easily do the same.

I'll think about doing that since the cart is such a low-cost thing but the console is not. Thanks. Was just surprised since a previous flashcart had no trouble at all. Just wasn't working well with Wood R4, which I wanted.

Push it in harder. N3DS has a new tab in the cart slot itself for ds OG games.its silly how far you have to push in, you may think your gunna break it the all of a sudden "click" its in
