I personally don't mind bothering with offsets, maybe I could try setting myself to like around 140,000 CP or something just to get myself close. I already set myself to 999mil CP however it did not unlock the Machinist.
So.. I was thinking maybe an offset would unlock the Achievement or the Job itself.
The region should not make a difference as the offsets should be around the same in hex edit. Make sure to make a backup of your save just to be safe however!

It's earning related, so one way is to buy and sell your custom abilities (so you are making that cheated 999mil into 'legit' earned' which will trigger such achievements). This will also help you unlock characters like cloud and lightning

From 0x30129 to 0x30152 = all almalith materials
From 0x30153 to 0x3016B = Materials with aidolons names
From 0x2FF98 to 0x300ED = Materials (though there some phantom material from 0x300C4 to 0x300F2 and 0x2FFF9 e 0x2FFFA)
Form 0x23140 to 0x2315F = Consumables
From 0x31424 to 0x31427 = Gil
From 0x3142C to 0x3142F = CP

How are you getting the original save to hex edit?
If it directly from sd card, that your problem. If it though a save extractor program like jk save manager or svdt, it should work
Powersave is the problem I guess. They male it so it locked into the game cart original use so you can't transfer saves between game cart, while you can with save extractor
Homebrew is actually easy, especially if you are just doing homebrew and not cfw stuff

It shouldn't, but always check smealum twitter to be sure before update
If smealum twitter should either provide edit to keep it working
Note: if you have cubic ninja or OOT, you are certain to have homebrew at all times. Browserhax and menuhax may be removed depending on update, but those are to remake again

How're you guys extracting the savegame for FFE? I'm having trouble getting the savefile. Have used svdt and JK save manager but still no dice. Keeps giving me a red screen and stays stuck there until I reboot the 3DS. Tried extracting my MH4U savegame works fine. My copy of the game is a digital one from the eshop.
