does modMii assume I don't have homebrew set up?
Well, if you tell it to it does.
Just follow the guide.
It will ask you a couple of questions and then download (hopefully) everything you need and build a pack for you.
After that just follow the generated guide and that should be it.
If you prefer you could follow @Cyan s pseudo guide and just install cIOS 249.
I'll see if I can find it. Otherwise let's hope Cyan reads this soon-ish and chimes in.

... What? Have you tried re-syncing? Maybe changing batteries?

yup....tried both....
googling lead me to a few forums where they said wiimote with the motionplus inside give problems and ofcourse thats all i have lol
But only if you're trying to re-install the homebrew channel. It shouldn't cause any issues with anything else.
At which step are you having problems?
You don't need to start from scratch (homebrew channel, bootmii etc)

Wii Mod works with Wii Motion Plus as does YAWMM. You can get those through ModMii, too. (Download page "2", "YAWM" and "WM".)
The link I gave him/her (just in case anyone thinks it might be "someting fishy") is for the latest rev (v1.6)
WiiMOD Lite.
I've never had a problem with it (and I use it on vWii WITH motionplus controllers)

Now is there anyway to move the Wii game collection to the main Wii menu?

So you don't have to click Homebrew > USB loader > Games

So you don't have to click Homebrew > USB loader > Games
Install the forwarder.
Then it would just be Wii menu>USBLOADER GX Forwarder>profit!
It's on the first page. (pick the regular Wii one!!!!) and install it with wiimodlite

OR...you could just set it up to boot straight to the loader.
I'm not too familiar with the procedure but I'm sure someone could give you a hand with that.
I remember it having something to do with priiloader...

EDIT:
Y'know how after you've tried everything and you go to ask someone else, right as you finish asking, you find the stupidly obvious solution? Yeaah. As I futzed about with the item display settings the other night to try to move the default channels off-screen, somewhere along the lines I unchecked Wii Games and that was all the trouble was. What threw me off so much was that when you unselect Display Wii Games, demos still appear.

It never occurred to me that USB Loader GX wouldn't filter those out, so there I was thinking I'd just screwed this up somehow.

Here's a very, very stupid little thought for the next version: if you untick display options like that, maybe have some kind of UI blip to draw your attention back to it. I spent way too long thinking I'd messed up somewhere deeper in the process of configuring all the Homebrew stuff, which is certainly all on me for not more thoroughly reviewing my settings with USB Loader GX, but a little helping hand there would've been awesome.

That said, this tool is still my favorite USB Loader on the Wii without a doubt, so many, many thanks for all the work put into it!
-------------------------------------------------
Heya! So, I've actually set this up to work on a friend's Wii, finally got my own, retraced my steps (via this guide) and got it running on it, but for some bizarre reason it won't recognize any of my games. I've tried two different usb devices (flash drive & hard drive), flipped the file systems back and forth from wbfs to fat32 (running checks to ensure no corruption throughout), and I only once briefly had it recognize any games. Then I believe I tried to load in a game or something and the system froze up/shut down on me...And this usb loader hasn't worked since.

So I went to Configurable USB Loader to verify I hadn't totally screwed things up somehow and...It works! But it's not as slick out of the box as this tool, so I'm still trying to figure out how to get this to recognize my files.

Wbfs is a friggin' unstable mess I've found as I've tried to get it to cooperate and work with USB Loader GX, so I'm not sure if I want to try it again, although I might if it comes down to it. Here's a sys check log, if it might help:

I'm having trouble installing games from retail discs. I start the install process, but the progress bar shows 100% and then nothing ever happens. I left this to sit for about 5hours last night. And nothing happen usbloadergx just kind of froze up.

What version are you using? Don't say latest or 3.0. I'm looking for the rev number like 1260. You can find that in the lower left of the screen when the loader starts up or in the about page under settings.

Next, are you using a USB flash drive or a USB hard drive. If it's a hard drive, is it USB powered or externally powered (do you have to plug a power cord into a wall outlet)?

Finally, are you on a Wii or Wii U?

Once you answer these questions we can help narrow down the problem and try to help you out.

It's Liight. It barely worked when I bought it. It likes to freeze when it's done loading a lot of times. Either it gets a black screen immediately or never finishes after the loading "glyph" is complete.
Sorry it took so long. I just tried that game you were having issues with. Liight. I tried loading it up using emunand cios emulation and that didn't work. But I think you already knew that. I then tried neek2o and it worked. I thought it froze at the initial loading screen because it stayed there saying loading for a very long time. I was just about to unplug my Wii U when it suddenly started working. I played through the first 10 levels or so and didn't see any issues. Is there anything else you'd like for me to try for you?

Hey, everyone! First post here. Got a few problems with USB Loader GX and Nintendont. Would really appreciate someone helping me out.

1) When I launch USB Loader GX through a forwarder channel with my Classic Controller plugged in, I get a code dump with a reload in 20 seconds message. However, if I launch it through HBC with my CC plugged in, there are no issues. Is there an issue with my forwarder or is it something else? I saw a few posts about recompiling GX after modifying classic.c in libOGC, but I'd rather take your opinions first before trying all that.

2) Nintendont works just fine when launching GC games from the HBC but when I try launching them from GX (I play with Wiimote+CC, however Wiimote+Nunchuck shows same issues), my controllers go out of sync with all 4 lights on on the Wiimote. Is there something I should do with the GX Nintendont configuration settings to solve this? I have no clue.

EDIT: The Nintendont problem happens both when loading GX from the forwarder as well as from the HBC.

No, thanks. I probably just didn't wait long enough. It's not a bad game but honestly it's not worth waiting that long for it to load. (Even from NAND) :D

Give it up and use cleanrip. Ripping games from a USB loader (I know GX and Wiiflow have problems) has always been a hit or miss, personally i think it is a internal memory issue. A USB loader uses a lot of mem already and ripping a game seems to be cutting it close, that is why it sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't.
From my own experience: i tested this feature a lot while wiiflow was still actively developed, none of the devs working on it could permanently solve it for me.
At times it worked, but after implementing new code at some point it didn't work no more. Eventually the last dev that worked on it actively stopped trying to get this feature to work flawlessly. From that point on i used cleanrip and it never failed me.
