I've received a few likes for this post, so I figured I'd make a tread for that. Not for noobs atm, but maybe we can figure something out.

In short, what you'd have to do is the following:
  • FAT32 format your SD card so that enough space is unallocated at the beginning - 2GB should be enough for the N3DS EmuNAND. You can do this via Partition Wizard. You lose all your SD data(!).
  • Use Decrypt9 (from my signature) to dump the NAND backup from SysNAND
  • Use Decrypt9 to restore the previous NAND backup to EmuNAND
Done! That's pretty simple, right? I think it should also be possible to do all of these steps directly on the 3DS. I haven't figured out yet how to correctly code the SD card formatter though, and HxDs open drive features doesn't help me a lot yet.

Is this:
https://github.com/d0k3/EmuNAND9Tool
the reason this thread was made?

Can't wait to test it. Hope it's safe. :P
In fact, my Decrypt9WIP source code had the EmuNAND format feature for a while, and the formatting code has already been tested by some people :D. I made EmuNAND9Tool because I decided that (1) SD formatting goes beyound the scope of Decrypt9 and (2) I could make that more user friendly in a standalone app (add to that that Decrypt9 is 'too technical' for many users). So, in short, it works, but it still is a little rough around the edges. And the starterpack for the new starterpack feature is still missing from the package (Ill explain later). I'd suggest you wait till later today, when I'm doing the first official release!
