You actually need to open your 3ds and weld some cables on the motherboard from what i know
you can use that tutorial but i don´t know if you want to dump the NAND file
if you want to update use the cartidges on the page i gave you
OP doesn't sound as interested in dumping his NAND as he is on getting free games. I don't think we can convince him to do a hardmod, but hopefully ninjhax works on 1.0.0. It'd probably take someone pretty avid for a 1.0.0 dump to mail him a copy of Cubic Ninja, given he also doesn't sound very interested in purchasing a game other than one that'll let him update to 4.x.

Someone linked to braindump, so if he gets Cubic Ninja, he can dump it, possibly. Also told hardmodding was an option, just wasn't explained clearly how to do it. I imagine there are guides out there, or someone could pull one off.

oh i did not see you suggest ninjhax to do it but sadly that is not an option on fw1.0.0.0 so a hardmod is the only way for him to accomplish a nand backup
thats why i tagged someone who actually performed a hardmod but . . . if you can find a hardmod guide please share it before the op decides this bs it taking too long and simply decides to skip it . . .

are you talking about me? im interested in dumping my nand, but i dont know how to!! and i can't buy ANYTHING right now but i would be happy to do whatever i can with a computer.(i dont wanna update,i just wanna get the rxtools mset exploit using my r4)
Yes, and afaik to get yourself emuNAND and rxtools support, your 3DS' firmware should be between 4.5 and 9.2. I'm not saying you're not at all interested in it, but read up and you'll see links on how to do it. Hardmods won't require you to buy any games, but you might need some hardware tools like soldering iron. For the MSET exploit, I think you need to be on 4.5.
tl;dr you WILL have to update, so grab a copy of the games listed on a link posted earlier in this thread and use that to update after you dump your NAND, if you decide to do so with a hardmod.

I'll just store away my 3ds for a while as hardmodding is a huge hassle...its not that im not interested...i wanna dump my nand for hackers but im a noob and i cant understand anything.

I'm afraid you do need to update to get access to CFW. To update to a firmware below 9.3, I believe your only option is to use a game card.
You can't. You need a 3DS on a firmware below 9.3 to be able to use CFW and install CIAs. I don't think you can even install legit CIAs without a kernel exploit.

Try browserhax on your 7.2 o3DS. Follow this guide and see if you can get an emuNAND working. That guy was using 10.3 emuNAND, afaik.
