Install sysupdater on sysnand, place all update CIA files from 9.2.0 in the Folder "updates".
Now a VERY important part:
Use a CFW WITHOUT firmlaunch to open sysupdater! I used PastaCFW, but you can use PBT or rxTools devmode too. Now launch sysupdater and follow the instructions.
If everything goes well, congratulations, you successfully updated to 9.2!

Just in case something has gone wrong, you still have your nand backup. You would just need a hardmod to restore it.

that's what I do but with rxtools in n3ds, dev mode don't work, i thing i must use PastaCFW to do it...

As far as I can tell, you can use any CFW that doesn't include firmlaunch. So I guess Pasta is the best way to go.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here who helped me a couple days ago to get my rxTools updated. I'm now running the Sepr21 build and it's very smooth.

Only thing I haven't nailed down is auto-booting into rxTools. I can boot into HBL just fine, but if I try to boot into rxTools, it gives me a hard "error. power down and try again" I'm using L to load menuHax, btw.

I've also tried BootCTR, using both Default and L botton both pointed at loading rxTools. Still getting the same failure. I know this isn't the place for troubleshooting these other programs, but I just started rambling and now I'm just gonna post what I've typed up anyway.

BUZZZ. Try again. I download my updates directly from eshop, and it runs on GW. You don't know what you're talking about.

BUZZZZ yourself. YOU don't know what you are talking about. I was referring to the fact that you do not NEED gateway to play SSB with the latest update. The game and its update work just fine on rxTools/Reinand/Pasta/Cakes/etc. on 9.5 emunand, you just have to go find a modified version of the update that has the kernel spoof applied to its header. Or learn how to do it yourself.

I was specifically talking about unpatched CIA's. Learn how to read.

It is a well known fact that you need to patch cias for them to run on lower firmwares when emunand is not able to be updated to the latest firmware version. This was something EVERYONE had to do back when CFW was limited to 4.x. Would I like for other teams besides GW to implement a kernel spoof patch? Most definitely, but in the mean time I am perfectly content to patch my cia files to run on 9.5 rather than be tethered to my GW cart to do anything.

The nightlies won't run on anything other than 9.x, and emuNAND can't be updated beyond 9.5. So it would never be 10.x, well not without new kexploits anyhow.

It's not the point. What that guy said is DS carts work properly on N3DS emuNAND+rxTools Oct.02 but not work on N3DS emuNAND+rxTools later than Oct.02.
It's still unfixed.

Good morning!

i'm trying to run a gba game with rxTools. I read that I've to choose Pasta Mode in Advanced tab but with this mode when I launch the game it just says error and I've to reboot the console. Anyone knows how can I fix it?

Thanks, by the way found out that my Ambassador GBA games not running on Emunand, and since I've already unlinked my sysnand and emunand by formatting the sysnand, please let me know if this is possible.

- Run rxtools on sysnand and run Free Multi Patcher to access ehop (I'm on 9.2.0-20U by the way)
- Link my previously linked account (NNID)
- Redownload my Ambassador games to my sysnand

Not sure if that will work but will try that out later.

If this works, I will delete my Ambassador games on emunand and will just leave them on my sysnand instead.
