Hacking Need some advice setting up 9.0 N3DS

Hello guys,

after some hunting I got my hands on a 9.0.0-20E N3DS non-XL, which I paired with a 64gb microsdxc. Basically what I want to have is

Rxtools
Which I want to coldboot
Emunand on 9.5
Firmware spoof for games requiring >9.5
An easy to use Cia installer

I don't necessarily need eshop or online play. If it's possible, then throw it in, if not, doesn't matter. Same goes for gba/snes/ds/dsiware and co.

Would I need anything else to accomplish that? I also have a copy of oot3d available. Will that be of any use?

You'll need either OoT3D or Cubic Ninja to use the gateway launcher. From there just format your emunand, install rxtools using a guide on here, install FBI while your nands are linked, format your sysnand and then use whatever your prefered method is (browserhax, menuhax, etc to launch rxtools

Search for installing cfw on n3ds without cn/oot tutorial on this forum.
Then you can also search for fw spoof eshop access.
You just need to make use of search feature.

Yeah, sorry, i forgot to mention you could use a CIA of cubic ninja. Everything else I said still holds though.

But cn seems basically obsolete as I can use browserhax as it seems. Boy that topic is hard to get into, way more complicated than setting up wii, PSP, 360 home brew.

Not with Gateway on the n3DS. The Gateway launcher is only needed for the formatting emuNAND step, though that's still a rather important step.

You can't use browserhax to load the gateway launcher on n3DS.

Nope, not possible yet. Quickest way right now is to downgrade your mset and install the DS profile exploit.

I don't want to coldboot into Gateway, but into my CFW which will probably be rxtools - that should be possible, shouldn't it? Cause I saw a guy selling a N3DS XL with coldboot and rxtools.

Home Menu -> Browserhax -> HBL -> PastaCFW -> Browserhax -> FBI -> Install Cubic Ninja

From there, use Ninjhax with your newly installed Cubic Ninja CIA, boot the Gateway Launcher, format emunand, etc.

Does it have to be Pasta or could I also take rxTools? I really don't know which one is the best choice, more compatible, better maintained etc.

Pasta for installing the stuff on Sysnand. Use rxtools after you have emunand set up.

Okay now I have a basic Roadmap set up.

Home Menu -> Browserhax -> HBL -> PastaCFW -> Browserhax -> FBI -> Install Cubic Ninja -> gateway -> Emunand -> rxtools
