oh interesting if you run WiiLauncher then start wiird or gecko dot net (in that order) does the software connect ? never played with Wiilauncher my knowledge is a bit limited I just build the things check they work with wiird / gecko dot net / gecko os / kart kart wii and ship them out.

Yer should work with the gc you will need to be able to boot GeckoOS_1.06d on the gc, get that from here

http://www.staffs2.webspace.virginmedia.com/shuriken_usb.htm

or the gc-forever.com site.

sorry I am trying to help but my wii software knowledge is limited :-(
Could we get next day shipping by paying for plane tickets? :-P

I have an original USB Gecko and am willing to sell it. I can take pictures and show proof of its use in the past (about 4 years ago). If you're interested add me on Skype at jmrapp1270 where I will be more active.

@piotr_a3

you got the last one from this batch, sent it this morning.

I have some bad news I normally build these in batchs of ten I ordered enough parts for another ten from farnell however they have run out of FT245 chips and have put me on back order. Dont look I will be able to get the parts I require until 10/12/2015 so if you order between now and 10/12/2015 I will not be able to send out your order until I have the parts. I have looked at other suppliers but farnell is the cheapest and there quilty is good so I am going to wait until they send me the parts, bad timing for xmas though :-(

Maybe build a few, then if demand drops stop making. If people want them, you can send them, and if you order extra chips you have them for other projects aswell :P

Hey @happy_bunny the geckoloader code for USB Gecko that you could flash into it's ROM doesn't seem to be able to be flashed with the shuriken. Any idea why?

oh thats easy its a clone of the SE so it dont have the 'ROM' like the SE. If you want to flash the 'ROM' you need to buy / get hold of a USB gecko as they actually have 'ROM' fitted. (replace 'ROM' with flash as ROM means Read Only Memory so by it nature you cant update it as its well read only :-))

@DarkFlare69 you're in the US and these come from the UK. He doesnt have tracking, as that's really expensive over here. However, he'll have proof of postage from Royal Mail.

Yes tracking like £10 it's not worth it on a £14 device. Post to the US normally takes between 1 to 3 weeks. Will email you proof of postage tonight. Hopefully you get it sometime next week.

I got it today and the device is defective as far as I can tell. I've watched a few videos on how to set up a usb gecko. I have downloaded and installed the drivers from the website and it successfully installed. I then plugged in usb gecko to my pc (not my wii yet) and it installed more drivers automatically. Both are a success. I unplugged usb gecko from pc. I then restarted my computer to ensure they're 100% ready. Then, I turn it back on, plug it into my pc, and then plug it into my Wii. I loaded gecko os and made sure debug was enabled. Next, I load the game. It loads, so then I start up gecko.net and it always fails to connect to the usb device. I have tried a different cord, a different usb port, and a diferent gamecube slot. If anyone can tell me what im doing wrong, that'd be great.
