i'm using gateway 3.5.1, and i recently deleted my jp mhx installation and i replaced it with the prepatched mhx with english translation, and my save was intact. where are the saves located? also could the same thing happen with rxtools or gateway just handles saves differently?

save is in SD so everything is intact when you switch.

I tried backing it up. I was using .3ds and I used SDF. I renamed the sav file so that the ctr card won't be broken when I back it up. Then I launched sdf and it was still broken. I backed up the Ext Data instead... someone mentioned that is how the save works in MHX.

Will it still be intact if I switch from 3ds to cia games?

This v1 day one fan patch is by far the most useful and urgent I've ever seen. Thanks a billion man, allows me to not have brain-meltdown with all the kana. Seriously though, thanks for putting your play off and setting this up. I can't wait for the next verison :D; game is dope btw, but 3D off option is necessary if you aren't NTR overclocking or the lags too much.

There is no need to back anything up from what I've tested. I went from old .cia to old .cia without needing to back anything up to old .cia to new .3dz and the save game transferred without me doing anything. I assume .3ds to .cia is the same.

Are you able to go online with NTR?

Can any kind soul tell me if this is the correct filesize?

ntr.bin - 50,992
BootNTR.cia - 567,744

I can't seem to get it to work with my on .3dz file for some reason. Green screen, then hangs.

Why use a .3dz? Go with the .cia and you'll be fine.

So does it at least work with the regionfree launcher? I know it doesn't work with HANS at the moment.
Need to know if I should just refund it before I'm stuck with a useless game for an undetermined amount of time.

I had the same problem, deleteing the save plugin solved the problem.

A lot of us are importing the retail game and using homebrew. Our only option for the translation is the HANS method which currently doesn't work. The instructions say we need a decrypted romfs.bin to run the patch on. Can someone upload a decrypted non-patched romsf.bin? That way if/when HANS gets updated we can run the latest patch and be ready to go.

I think dasding's option was HANS method so he can't even use the translation he's worked so hard on. Source code for HANS has been released by smealum so it would be nice if someone could work on a fix or ask smea to do something. We also need c-stick and Z button support for N3DS for HANS.

Also, can someone test the retail cart on region free homebrew to see if it works. It would suck if we can't play the game at all.

Hello!

Totally new to the 3ds scene, so I have a few questions.
I'm importing a JP new3ds and I heard it comes with the 9.2 fimware update. Assuming it is indeed 9.2 and without going into technical details, what would be my choices to be able to enjoy this english MHX patch? It's all still very confusing to me so I had hoped you guys could enlighten me a bit (which cfw to use, or any way to get a en-patched MHX running). Sorry if I'm asking this in the wrong place.

On a side note, I'm also slowly working on translating lines from en to fr using dasding's work with the help of a few guys, despite not having my hands on the game yet.

the only issue with retail in this type of games is that if capcom releases an update you are out of online
